My 4230 rear axle seal is leaking ,can i replace the seal just by removing the wheel ?

The axle shaft has to come out to the inside of housing, won't slide to the outside.
So the axle housing must come off. IIRC

Dont forget to set the preload on the axle brgs on reassembly.

Does that mean there is a nut somewhere that when i start to tighten until i feel resistant on the axle shaft?

No nut to tighten but cap screw(parts key 27)

Well I am back, cant get the wheel of the axle, every things corroded ,twisted one cap screw, cut that out with torch, still no go.
The bolt that you that turn to bring out the wheel feels like is welded.
Put everything back and leave it as it is???????????? lost.

Are talking about the cap screws (key part # 9 in Tx Jim pic) that broke off?

I don't relate to "bolt that you .. turn to bring out the wheel.." as to what that is.

Do you have 5 bolts on the senter of you rim ? 2 Standing out (looks as if it is loose ? Then you have the rachet sisteme to use ! First looses the 3 bolts then screw in that 2 bolts to ******* the wedge then you can turn the bolt on the side to adjust the wheel in or out !

There's no need to remove wheel to R&R axle seal as axle housing must be removed from axle while wheel stays intact.

Twisted off one of the three bolts so I cut it out. Wedge will not budge.the bolt that turns out the wheel is frozen
Tight. Put as much force on the two jackoof bolts as I could plus a sledge hammer on the two screw that hold the wedge.I get nothing.

Try hitting end of axle with a big hammer as recommended by JD or make a pipe to slip on axle that is cut out so it only contacts the wedge that you're trying to loosen.

Remember to jack-up that wheel ....turn it until the wedge is under........ and remember to remove the c-clip at the end of the axle

My guess would be to have the wedge i want to remove on top or am i wrong?

WRONG wedge that needs loosened needs to be on the bottom of axle.
