got a 2040 john deere got a new veil hydraulic pump new filter cleaned cart., new fluid still can't fluid threw the lines just spurs out what could be the problem?

255246L is serial and code is 204SA any help I would be grateful right now I'm lost. Thanks

It's possible the trans pump lost it's prime or one of it's gears broke.

it's supposedly a new pump and I prime when I installed it the first time. I had a little water in fluid at first so I changed the fluid and filter, three times thinking that maybe the water was my problem now I don't have any moisture still no pressure.

Have you checked sump screen(parts key 30)?

Remove coverplate over shiftcover ...on the righthandside you will see 2 testplugs ......to test your oilpressure ......front 1 should be near/just over 10 bar .....rear 1 also about there .....rear 1 delivers oil to front pistonpump

2040 SN 255246L built for N.American sales is open-center(gear pump) not piston pump.

sorry it's taken so long to get back with y'all but anyway I removed the low pressure relief valve and I've got full function of hydraulics I know this puts me back to filter or transpump I've changed filter several times but still moisture in fluid any ideas thanks david
