I have an older JD f-935 front mower that's used exclusively to mow the lawn. But, it starts easily in frigid weather and did have an optional attachment of a "47 2 Stage Snowblower" available.

There are a few used "47 Snowblowers" for sale in local want ads, but here is my dilemma:

Deere Parts website shows 3 versions of the 47 blower for my F-935:

1) A non-Quick Hitch bolt on version that plugs into the tractor's lift arms.
2) A Quick Hitch version with a CW blower fan (looking forward from the tractor).
3) A Quick Hitch version with a CCW fan.

Then there is the Auger drive arrangement:
1) Blower fan discharge offset to the right (CCW fan)
2) Blower fan discharge offset to the left (CW fan)

The fan directions are set by either a chain and sprocket transmission (fan same directions as input PTO)
or a reverser gearbox (fan opposite direction as the input PTO).

If any of you have an F-935, F-910, F-925 mower with the optional 47 2 stage snowblower, I'd like to know which fan direction and which PTO transmission mechanism you have (gearbox or chain and sprockets) .

My F-935 PTO rotation direction is CCW (looking forward). What I want to find out is whether the reverser gearbox can be replaced with the sprocket drive if the blower came off of a 318 or a 420 series tractor. The PTO rotation on those machines is CW so they USUALLY have a reverser gearbox (unless the fan direction is also CW).

I know this sounds complicated and a bit absurd, but I'd like to experiment with a blower. I already use an 8' tractor mounted blade to do my long driveway, but my 1070 don't even get warmed up during a moderate plowing job. So, I want to try the F-935. The number of permutations of the 47 blower model is boggling my retired mind.

Thanks for the help !
