kubota 4310hstc
Ive read many post about kubota loader valves that freeze up and they say to drill a 3/32 hole to drain the water. Is that to drill on the end that the cables hook to or the opposite side? also i have a l4310hstc model Thanks ray

They are talking about the caps on the bottom of the valve that cover the float section and other add-ons.

You can also fill the caps with some waterproof grease.

Agree with JJ - I'd go with the grease. Everything around my place with a hole big enough to drain water also seems to attract bugs looking for a new home... Steve

UPDATE , today i drilled a 3/32 hole in each cap. It drained about 1/2 oz of water from each. Then flushed them with wd40 and moved the control every which way possible. All done still on tractor. Hopefully this will solve the freezing problems i had. No grease as im going to block the holes with rubber patch and hose clamps. Then if it needs flushing with wd40 i just have to remove the clamps. Thank all. ray

Try Fluid film or PB Blaster, MUCHO better than WD40 as a lubricants.

Fluid film is sold at most JD dealers, PB Blaster is available almost anywhere.
