JD4100 Install Neutral switch 1998

My neutral swt seams to be acting up is my guess. Having to work forward ->neutral<-- back and forth trying to find the spot to turn the engine. I make sure my PTO is in neutral, step on the clutch, release, range lever and it will start once I find that magical position. I think it final went bad.????


My JD4100 1998 (Gear Type) was doing just fine until I stalled it in wrong gear.
As mentioned above: I put the everything in Neutral, worked the Gear Range Lever, won't crank again - got plenty of battery.
How to test if Bad?
Hard to Replace?
Does the PTO have a swt also?

Any other place have this blocking feature other than the seat?

I can't thank you enough for the Tech Manual, gave me everything I needed and more. Got the "No Start" problem solve. It traced the electrical back to my solenoid, loose connection.
