JCB transmission problems

That's an uncalled for, unhelpful and probably inaccurate comment.

Maybe a particular issue unique to this machine.
You're absolutely correct.

There is a reason why JCB have the world's best-selling backhoe loader and it's definitely not because they're junk.

Agree. JCB practically invented the backhoe. They are one of the worlds most respected manufacturers of heavy equipment. Pretty highly regarded backhoes.

Are you able to determine if your actual problem is valves sticking or an electonic failure(bad sensor or circut board failing). I once had a circut board fail on a JD and perfectly mimiced fuel pump failure.
Good luck

I remember talking to a heavy equipment tech about backhoes and he told me JCB backhoes develop a problem similar to what’s been described. He said the fix was pretty simple and inexpensive. I thought he said it was a solenoid in the dash, but this conversation took place a few years ago. Cant remember the fix!

Has anyone figured out the problem? I have a 96 JCB 214E shuttle shift 4X4 backhoe that also wants to go into reverse after it warms up and then not move at all a few minutes later. Even with the newly replaced solenoid valve wires disconnected.

I have had problems with my ignition switch would that affect the solenoids on top of the transmission
