installing man door

i bought a stanley 36" wide brick mold door to install in the pole barn, in the directions they say to caulk between the dor and the RO, so i need to go to the hardware store and get the caulking but they dont say exactly what to use, any help on that? also, says the door is in primer and must be painted, both the steel door and the wooden molding, what type paint do i use? spray paint or what?

Use a very good silicone between the door and the jamb, fill it till it comes out the cracks, then you know it is full.
As for the paint, brush it on, primer first on all, then the paint.......hint, dont put the knob on yet and you wont have to take paint off of it later.
