Is it a good idea to pull fuel tank on ym1500 to get to the back of the dash to install oil pressure and temperature gauges? Thanks Speedy2

Didn't have to on mine. There is plenty of room to work with everything in place.

Nope. Plenty of room to work on the 1500. I've installed battery volt, oil and temp on mine. Only thing I did was pull the steering wheel to drill the holes.

... if you have small hands! ....:D

although I have not installed new gauges on my 180D; and Id like to; its a good idea; I have had the front plastic dash off to repair wiring; I could not access the wires properly with it in place and never managed to get the steering wheel off after much WD40; puller, grunting and even tried hammering a chisle between the steering wheel and the housing to no sucess ... only reason I got it off was it was a broaken dash at the steering wheel.
