I have a Kubota B1200 which is running a bit smoky.
Its nothing serious, but I am as sure as I can be that it is being caused by dirty injector nozzles.
In general terms I am rather sceptical of the claims made by the manufacturers of cleaning additives such as injector cleaners, but if they do work it might save me the expense of refurbishing or replacing mine.
Has anyone used these additives, and if so, have they lived up to the makers claims please?

I use Power Service(PS) diesel fuel supplement in all my fuel. Keeps things cleaned out and lubed as well as boost cetane.
PS has other additives that will help clean the dirty injectors.
Sea Foam also is an additive that works well.

Others on here may know other products that will work.

I also only use PS year round in all my diesel...no problems!

Just my humble opinion ,,, but if the injector nozzle(s) are clogged up, I sincerely doubt any additive is going to clean them. Additives 'may' assist in minimizing build up from occurring but I have never personally used any in the 5 diesels I have owned over the past20 years...except in the winter to minimize geling.

My wife works for a diesel injection shop and they sell and use Stanadyne.

I've cured several "sick" diesels by adding a quart of automatic transmission fluid(ATF)to the fuel tank.
It really does work on some engines!
ATF can also be an emergency anti-gel additive when nothing else is available.
Good Luck!

Used power service exclusively on six semi trucks. Good stuff.

Thank you all for your replies. I was in the supermarket a few days ago and saw a can of Facom injector cleaner there so I thought I would give it a try. (Facom are a french tool manufacturer of similar quality to Snap-on).
I mixed it with some diesel and filled the tank. I then used the tractor to rotavate my veg garden. After about half an hours use the tractor started to blow out thick white smoke. This lasted for about 3 or 4 minutes and after that it cleared. Since then the exhaust is no longer smoky so I think the cleaner has had some effect. Time will tell if it lasts!

The smoke is an indication the Facom found some junk and broke it down and cleared it out. Sounds like Facom is much like Seafoam.
Good luck with it.
