I am buying a 3720 with a Woods mower, Split Fire 3 PT hitch wood splitter and a JD ballast box. My dealer is going to see if all that will work with the iMatch, if they don't, he will look at one of the other brand's quick hitch systems.

My question is, if he gets the all the implements to work on one of the quick hitch systems, do I need the telescoping draft links?

Thanks
Bob

With an I match style of quick hitch, I don't think telescopic links are needed. If I am off a little, it is easy to just back up a little more and push the implement in alignment with the quick hitch. I have one tractor with telescopic links and one without. I just don't use the telescopic links anymore with the quick hitch. Almost forget they are even there.

I had telescoping draft links on my 4710 when I first got the I match. I had to install the regular draft links to use the IMatch.

I was told it was an "either / or" by my dealer.

By the way, I love the iMatch. As soon as you get the hook under the top link and lift, the implement straightens to the machine.

I'm new to tractors and I still have a **** of a time getting the driveshaft on the PTO most the time. Wish they made a quick hitch for that... then again, that probably makes me lazy.

Getting the driveshaft onto the PTO is a PITA pretty much no matter what. Only real alternative is to have hydraulically powered implements - which isn't widely used in CUTs (powertrac is the one exception I can think of).

iMatch is great, and you won't need the telescoping link to hitch up implements. Everyone told me this and it's true, so I didn't order the telescoping draft link. But now I wish I had because when I take OFF my 3 pt links to attach my backhoe, I leave the iMatch attached and sitting on a little frame. The only trick is lining up the draft links when I go to re-attach. Would be a lot easier if one of the two could telescope.

I don't have telescoping draft link arms but I have the IMatch hitch.

Looking at the ends (where the swivel ball is) the arms on the extendable draft links are quite a bit heavier (thicker) metal and it doesn't look like they would fit into the slot on the IMatch hitch.

Couldn't say with absolute certainty --- but I don't think that the optional draft link arms are compatible with the IMatch hitch.

I'd give you my imatch and one kidney for telescoping draft links.

imatch is laying around rusting, and I bust a gut getting implements that don't fit the imatcfh on the tractor.
