I want a sawmill

I finished one project - tiller transfer case - and now I am thinking about the old mower motor I have.

It is 20hp twin gas engine, but it has a vertical shaft - could it be used for bandmill? I will have to do right angle transfer - I am sure the motor would not like to have the oil pan on the side

What do you think?

Long belt drive should work.

A differential with one axle fixed might work even better.
