I saw where the Beetles came onto i tunes, where you can buy their whole record collection for around $150.

I don't have an i pod, but got one for my wife last year. She's big into contemporary Christian music, and sings on a local praise team (where they'll cover contemporary music). Since I really don't go to i tunes and not sure where to look, are there any "bulk" tunes available on Christian contemporary music anywhere?

Or, am I stuck trying to muddle through the i tunes site? (no, never been there before, but do they have a "bulk buy" package available?)

Thanks

When you buy iTunes, burn them to a CD, easy to do using the iTunes software. Then rip them to an MP3, no more DRM, do whatever you want with them, play them anywhere, in Windows Media Player, Media Monkey, whatever turns you on.

I have an iPhone but hate iTunes. I hate the RIAA so I rarely buy any music anymore, when I do I buy at amazon.com, they have cheaper prices and the music is DRM free. I know Wal-Mart has a pretty extensive mp3 selection as well.

You can search iTunes by artist, purchase by album, song. ITunes pretty well follows what an artist releases, the collections are generally an anthology.

I think the battle between Apple Computer and Apple Records was so heated with so many lawsuits for a lot of years the 'collection' is both sides way of catching up on lost revenue.

I must be the odd man out or maybe I'm just more computer savvy but I like iTunes. It's quick and easy to organize my songs, I can easily share my playlists and podcast with my 3 other computers and PS3 which plays them on my TV and it's easy to get new songs. Burning my old CD's to my computer is a one-click job and it even gets the album info and cover picture for my ipod.

I used Windows Media Player for a while but it would randomly freeze when syncing my ipod and it was much slower at transferring. I have about 830 songs plus a couple of videos and one full length movie on my ipod so speed is key.

As for buying "bulk" music, I would look for compilation cd's. I like newer hip-hop and get the newest "Now, that's what I call music" albums whenever they come out. They're typically $10-12 and contain 20+ songs.

There's a few sets call Christian Now that may have what your looking for, $0.99 per song or $9.99 for the album of 20 songs.

BTW, iTunes music is DRM-free. It has been since Jan 2009 when they increased prices from $0.99 for new songs to $1.29.
