i was looking at a nh super55 that also comes w/ a dolly that allows you to run 2 rakes at the same time. i was wondering how you would go about using this setup b4 i possibly purchase it.the hooking up of the 2 rakes i could figure out as well as running in the field its just the 1st pass i can't really seem to picture how you would do it. w/ my single rake (nh55)i go once around raking to the inside of the field then when i get back to my start point i circle back around and then rake the rest of the field to the outside.

Depends, is it a dolly to run a LH and a RH rake? Then you pull between 2 rows, pulling the 2 rows together into a bigger row. If it's a dolly to pull 2 RH rakes, you throw one row onto the next, come back the other way, throwing a second onto the middle (if the hay is light) or skip to the next, so you would be moving the first onto the second, the third onto the fourth, etc.

thanks for the info. i decided to pass on this as the rake was in fair shape, i think i'm just going to save up for a rotary rake, that can also double as a tedder. that way i can have 2 tedders going if needed.

Do you have any particular rotary tedder/rake in mind or are you just going to get whatever shows up at the time?

as for the rotary rake i was looking at a kuhn ga3200gt as its a draw bar version and it doesn't need hydraulics to raise /lift it which allows me to use my older machines as well as my newer machine to run it. its not a total rake/tedder combo but they said it could double as a windrow inverter. also looking at sitrex, claas, and krone. although the claas/krone don't offer non hydraulic lift options. i def have to get a used 1 as new is way out of my price range.
