reckless endangerment makes sense.

But disorderly conduct? I'm sure he was very orderly about the whole thing.

It sounds like a Farside comic strip. Some old guy is sitting at his breakfast table in his robe and a cannonball comes bouncing through the window and knocks over his wheaties..:D That was quite a ricochet.

I looked it up on the net.
Apparently the protocol requires the following commands.
"Solid shot! Load! "
"Ready"
"Fire!"

Maybe he forgot a command.....

Wow.... I just had a lightbulb appear above my head! Now I know how to deal with my neighbor who won't keep his kid (and his 4-wheeler) out of my pasture!

FIRE FOR EFFECT!

Would have been fitting if the recipient were a Vietnam vet that had a flashback and decided to return fire.

Whatever happened to the old saying, treat every cannon as if it were loaded!

If you think those cannons are fun....check out "anvil launching" on you tube. :D

Growing up on the farm we had a neighbor 4-5 boys that all were big into machine shops. They would make canons that shot old car pistons.

There is a thread here about how to keep a person from flying over his house. No I am not saying he should do that, but with his neighbor knowing he is ticked wonder what he would think flying over and well why is that there?

His mistake was not having Gunny (spelling) from the History Channel there to do the firing.

As a Southerner I trust this does not offend anyone, if so sorry. I sent this to a friend of mine and have to post his comment:

He´s actually a Confederate Sleeper Cell.

Ah, the death of common law . . . How can you have a crime without an injured party? Of course I've been charged with the statuatory crime of Deadly Conduct, but that's another story!

I can revel in the fact that my neighbor, after requiring I fix his house (i.e. no injured party), would have demanded the honor of touching off the next charge.
