drawbar ?

I agree with using the drawbar.

FWIW, that rig looks top heavy, I wouldn't pull it to fast as it may tip over.

I'd use the draw-bar, but first, I'd be tempted to lengthen the axle for stability.

Then again, spraying is usually a slow enough process.

you are welcome

Also, do not be embarrassed that you did not know that....we all had to learn it somewhere

to clarify...that is a "3 pt hitch draw bar" the tractor's draw bar is under the rear axle

That sprayer (in the link) looks like it's built for a lawn tractor. The hitch clevis looks like it's too small for a standard draw bar.

/pine is correct...use the drawbar that extends from under the rear axle to the rear...use a hitch pin to drop thru the hole in the drawbar after you have positioned the tongue of the sprayer over/under it. Secure pin to drawbar with a clip so it does not ride up and drop out. All this can be obtained at Tractor Supply and other places. Just a couple of bucks.

OK OK already!

This is a CROSS DRAWBAR (as the link / page says) that can be used between the arms of a Cat 1 3 pt hitch

my error...shoot me

And don't forget the anti-rotation lock is required...

The tractor's drawbar would be easier to rig up to, IMHO.

Roy is right as is everybody else. Drawbar as advertised....then use very short pieces of pipe within a pipe to reduce the size of the hole on your drawbar for that small pin that's going into a big hole...otherwise you'll beat the pin and the tongue of the sprayer to death. This is the same idea they use to match cat 1 attachments to cat 2 holes (big versus small or vice versa). Be careful using it on a slope as the fluid moves "down hill" in the tank...had a neighbor turtle his...has a relatively narrow wheel base.
My neighbors use those sprayers for small gardens and they usually pull them behind a mower.

I would just use a trailer hitch drawbar in my three-point receiver hitch (which is made out of a "cross drawbar"). I have a receiver hitch on my lawn tractor and that's what I use to pull my sprayer.

Runner, what are the pieces you welded on each side of the drawbar used for?

"Runner, what are the pieces you welded on each side of the drawbar used for? "

They, in addition to the holes in the part that extends upward from the top hook, are mounting points for three-point equipment that won't work with a quick hitch. I also use them to attach my boom pole.
