Hose connection crimp question.

A few years ago I put front hydraulics on for a grapple that works but I want to make it better, hoses get damaged, etc.
I was thinking couplers on the control block, then two new 6ft hoses coupler each end. Then attach hoses when needed.
Discount Hydraulics sent me this but how do I crimp connectors to hoses, or is there a better solution like pre-made hoses?
I can get hoses locally...but expensive.

Buying new hoses and connectors will be a lot cheaper than buying the tool necessary to crip fittings to hydraulic hose. By about 10 times over. Buying the crimper may be worth it if you plan on doing a lot of custom length hoses on site. Otherwise, just buy pre-made hoses.

Whatever you do, don't buy an AC line crimper. (Typically much cheaper) They're for aluminum fittings. They are not strong enough to crimp steel fittings for hydraulic hoses. They also don't have a way to measure the crimp.

I called NAPA where these hoses were from & they crimped connectors on & I called but they're 4x Discount Hydraulic price!
I guess Discount is the best place?
They charge $10.50 labor (crimp) + shipping.

These guys seem to have best pricing..... When I wanted to change hoses on my log splitter, they had exactly what I needed and reasonable too....

If you have a hydraulic shop in your area, check there. They custom make hoses and connectors and are typically reasonably priced.

I do and I did check...4X the Discount Hydraulic price where I ordered them. I've bought from Surplus as well and they're good.
