Kubota B26
Have installed on my Kubota B26 a Surplus Center 6gpm Dual Solenoid diverter valve to serve at the front auxiliary hydraulics to power a grapple. So I've found that the grapple will work with the AG hoses hooked together in one configuration but not the other. When I switch to the non working configuration the grapple will close but not open. When I switch the quick couplers the grapple works fine but I have chatter on the curl circuit (plumbed to the surplus center block).
Oh, when I switch the Feed and Return lines to the Aux lines at the block, the same thing happens so I think that rules out the quick attach connecters up front.

I'm guessing this is a problem with the spool valves somehow but I can't get any farther. Thoughts?

Do you have a diagram or schematic for diverter valve? If nothing else maybe a couple pictures of the valve would help.

Old thread, but still good info:

Here’s a schematic for the diverter

Anything I can do to fix this?
For example- plumbing the diverter to the loader boom cylinders

I would confirm that your loader valve has regen feature before changing anything. First would try pushing joystick farther to right while dumping to see if moves similar to putting lower into float. If yes hold joystick there and try operating the diverter. Note: it will move quickly but test is to verify it functions.

If yes then you have have confirmed regen feature on your loader valve.

Depending on how your grapple is made it might operate in an acceptable fashion by plumbing it so that the cylinders retract when using curl and extend when in dump mode. This would also potentially point towards having regen on dump circuit..

Yep, that's the fix. Thanks a lot you guys! The grapple has waaaay more power now. The chattering is also gone.

On to the next thing while I have you guys here.
Since I installed front and rear diverter valves I've notices a slight drip from the backhoe spool valve. The fluid appears to be seeping out the bottom of the spool valve. I had the valve rebuilt just a year ago. Is this a likely premature failure from some pressure inbalance caused by the diverter valve powering the thumb?
Thanks again
