Homemade fence unroller

Scrap pile slip clutch. Thick brass washer/plate and some plate and washers cut from 1/4” UHMW sheet stock. 45# Cummins valve spring. Provides drag tension much like a fishing reel to prevent bird nesting.

Looks good! My dad built a similar one many years ago when we had a whitetail farm and needed to unroll 10' rolls of fencing around his 200 acres. Looks like about the only thing he did different was mount a hub and rim on the bottom so the roll of fencing would spin easier.
