help! wrong excavator control pattern

I am renting a CAT 302.5c mini ex and the controls are "wrong". How do I switch it to John Deere controls?

If it is at all possible (some of the mini hoes) have a hose block that has a lever to switch between the two different styles of controls.

Otherwise, the poor mans version you could switch the hoses!

I'm at work now (just had it delivered). Hopefully I'll get it after an hour or so if it can't be switched. I'm digging next to a house, so this isn't a great place to get experience . I guess i'll just dig my trench in the middle of the backyard first!

Check under the floor mat I think... though looking online it appears that the pattern changer was optional - perhaps you don't have it.

Call the rental yard and ask, only way to be sure.

Rental yard should have changed it over for you. I learned on Deere and then a a contractor friend ask that I give his 13K Hitachi a whirl and I nearly put in ditch I was trying to fill in. From then on I ask the rental companies to make sure it's in Deere pattern. It is amazing how the mind- hand coordination sets in quickly. Hope you got the pattern straightened out...Gary

Pattern changer is standard, and should be a valve under the platform, LH side. OMM should be under the seat.

By now I bet the mini excavator has been returned to the rental yard. The control pattern changer below the seat on the left side is easily switched to solve this problem,
