HELP............ECHO CS341

My ...ECHO CS341 runs erratically and won't stay running when I release the trigger.
Here's the kicker, if I turn the saw from a vertical position to a horizontal position (90 degrees) it runs great!

I think there is a leak in one of the fuel lines..........what are your thoughts?

Quick, easy checks- gas cap breather is clogged. Carb is flooding (adjust carb) , carb leans out when turned.
Is the fuel tank filled or partial?

When did you last replace the fuel filter? Sometimes they're in the tank.

It does run better with a full tank. Fuel filter has never been replaced but has been cleaned. Gas cap doesn't have a breather hole that I could find.
