Has anyone built a 3pt roller?

A 3pt roller like those with sharp corners will skid sideways in a turn and leave a ridge. One with curved corners will leave smaller or none. I've seen these made from old propane tanks, which come in various lengths and diameters.

Here's a photo I saved of a towed roller, probably from TBN.

I built one like the JBD site has for another county's large JD tractor they maintain roads with. It was for a 10 hp 4wd tractor with a loader. I used a 1/2 inc wall 24 inch pipe 8 feet wide. I made a square frame for it and over the drum We decided to build a suare frame for a tank to hold water to add ballast and also to water the roller so the Asphault wouldnt stick to it. THey like it because they can lift it up and transport and turn. THey were using a pull type unit with a set of dolly wheels and turning around was a pain.

My roller is towed, not 3pt, but it's made from a section of metal culvert pipe, poured full of concrete, with a 1" rod for an axle. It has a simple yoke, made from 2" angle iron and "bearings" made from short pieces of pipe, slid over the axle. It's crude, but it works.
