Hard line damage

Hooked a tree limb with my loader and damaged my hard line.
My question is do I have to replace the hard line, I'm scared to try and bend it back in place.

If its not leaking and not in the way of any loader movement ... maybe just leave it.

2nd that if it's not pinched too much to cut down on the flow. I would at least wrap a piece of garden hose around it to keep it from rubbing on the support like in the 1st pic to prevent more wear.

It's not leaking or rubbing (right now).

This is what I would do..and just keep an eye on it in case a pin hole develops.
Remember, this is high pressure hydraulic fluid...don't run your fingers over it.

Odds are that if you try to straighten that kink it will crack and start to leak or it will kink on the other side and definitely require replacement. I agree with the others leave it alone until you get a replacement.

I know it is not recommended but I have brazed them when they get a pinhole in em (temporary fix) but if you dont need to bend it back then leave it be:thumbsup:

I would not want to try to straighten it by bending it back. Instead I would want to re round the kinked area. FWIW, I would drill out an appropriate hex nut to the tubing OD and cut the nut in two thru opposing points. Then file/round/polish all sharp edges that would touch the tube. Then Id clamp it around the tube with Vise Grips, squeezing and re orienting it a little at a time to make the cross section as round as possible again. The bend would straighten somewhat while doing this. :confused3:

I've done this too. I decided not to fix what wasn't broke.
