Al, IIRC the basic saw without long table or Beismeyer fence attached is around 350-400 pounds - if your situation is a bit dicey, you can remove the top and motor - but if you do that, the top is normally held to the base with three bolts - these have loose fitting holes, and control the relationship between the blade and the miter grooves. If you just loosen and remove them, you will need to realign when you reassemble. A slightly less painful way is to scribe lines marking the top/base positioning on ALL THREE bolt holes, BEFORE you loosen them. That way if the saw WAS aligned, you can get it back pretty close or exactly as it was.

Most of the PM66's had either Leeson or Baldor motors, if yours has something else there's a good chance it got swapped. My saw is a 3 horse, leeson motor and 3 belt drive.
There's quite a bit more to setting these up if you intend to do cabinet grade work; rather than waste good HF tool time, you can PM me if you don't already know this and want more... Steve

It was cheap. $180 for the saw from a woodworking equipment auction. It has the longer fence, a side table, and a Bosch router attached to it. I'm assuming that I'm going to be doing a complete rebuild. It has a 3hp 3 phase Baldor so I'll most likely add a VFD to it.

Wow, almost sounds like you bought a router and they threw in the saw for free  Enjoy... Steve

Years ago when I worked for IBM someone thought it would be a great idea to add Leatherman multi tools in our crib. The crib held the parts needed to repair the equipment but also tools needed for the job. Two things happened. 1st a lot of people who worked there gave family Leathermans for Christmas. Secondly lots of people were cutting themselves on the extremely sharp blades.

I bought a coil roofing nailer, item #92359 from a pawn shop for $50.00. I just used it Sunday to put about 30 square feet of shingles on a small shed I'm building to house my Woodland Mills PTO chipper in and it worked flawlessly! I can't say how it would hold up for a contractor, but for my limited usage it is perfect. It will shoot .120 x 3/4" - 13/4" nails. I'm completely pleased with it thus far.

HF got a bit of my money this week. 3 20 foot chains on sale and a garden cart with the 20% off coupon. Hoping they will all get the job done.

That "10% off any item, no exclusions coupon" says "Non-transferrable. Original coupon must be presented." Has anyone had any luck using a picture on their phone with this? If not, where did it originally appear? I don't recall seeing tis in any mailings I received.
Coupons for Harbor Freight Tools - Apps on Google Play just scans of HF coupons & they accept them every time for me. Never go into the store without your 20% off & freebie tool coupon. Never need to remember to find a magazine ad or mailer anymore.

Where would we be without cell phones? Probably a lot better off is you want to be frank about it.

We wouldn't be getting all these awesome remote discounts at HF. 😂

99% of what I use, comes snail mail anyway. Think about all the people (mostly kids) that have been killed while texting and driving.

Many of us older guys grew up with knives even guns, but we also knew of the dangers and respected their use. Don’t think that applies to cell phones, but it should.

That's called survival of the fittest, or natural selection... something like that..

Sometimes, we had target practice before school in the mornings. The shop teacher used to borrow my pocket knife for wood projects. Today, just having the knife would be a major incident.
