i have a nib harbor freight quick hitch that i bought for my old L3010 and never put it on. Thinking about putting it on my L2501 .Other than the top hook problem, what do you guys think of them. Price was right and it would sure make hooking up mower easier. Any thing else i need to know about it ? Thanks

I've got an L2501 with one. A new top hook made things easier. Also with the way my 3pt is adjusted for maximum swing, if the top link arm is adjusted most of the way inwards and I pull the 3pt all the way up it will make contact with and break my rear turn signals/lights. Fair warning. Otherwise it's been great.

Depends on the age of your implements... if they are new enough to conform to standard measurements. Mine are old mis-match implements and the HF QH just became another implement to put on and take off (depending on what I was going to attach.)

Like mine. Had on the 2025R and now on the B2601. Replaced top hook with the Amazon one that sets the hook out about a 1/2 inch. Also have a U shaped thing that can be used in place of the top hook on my back blade. I had one of the bottom pins come loose; didn't come out: crooked sideways a bit. Now, I put tape over the inside where the pin goes to secure them.

Oh, I think the top hook hole in the QH are not Cat 1. I drilled the holes out on the QH to put a Cat 1 pin in. Don't remember the details. Not the top hook holes specifically. Think it's the hole where the top link goes to the QH from the tractor. I replaced the bolts on the top hook with pins from Ken's stuff, BoltOnHooks. I used one of those multi size drill bits to enlarge the top link hole.

Dont they make slide on bushings for bottom hooks--rather than $30 per set attachment bushings,i would like to move bushings from one attachment to another

I need to try it again... see how it goes!!
You one time modify your non conforming implements so your QH works on everything and you don't have to remove it....

I cheated.... 1 inch water pipe on my CAT 1 Pins.... This is on my 600lb ballast box.... This is affordable way to have bushings on every implement

And yes its a draw bar bolted to ballast box with 3/4 inch threaded rod...

You can also just Amazon the things:

quick hitch bushing kit

These also have the top link bushings included.

The only issue I've had with the generic kits is sometimes you need to take a drill bit one size larger than the holes to make the roll pins actually go through. Just depends on luck. But they otherwise work great. Makes lifting heavy implements like our 800lb chipper solid as a rock, no rattling around in the hitch.

I bought the pair of Cat 1/2 and Cat 2/3 bushings at TSC for all my implements. Much cheaper than those $30/implement ones. TSC has those, too.

I was going to try that again but I've been using Pat's and getting by with no problems. Maybe someday.

TSC has the bushings as they have quite a few
of them that's where I got the ones for my land
plane

One more thing to note, is that you may need to get a PTO extender, to extend your PTO shaft about four inches, the extra width this hitch puts the implement back by. Depends how much overlap is on your shaft.

You can purchase a drive shaft to do the same thing
