Harbor Freight 3-point quick hitch

I happen also, to have one on order...Been on BO for several weeks now. (or is that months?) I have looked into the downloadable manual & seen the adapter. This thing looks very buildable in a home shop..Especially one with welding capabilty. I understand all your frustrations in the usability area, but as one poster said..Many things need adaptations for use! If mine ever a rrives, I plan to use it as best I can, I will build my own adapter. I know it will take me more than $10 worth of time & electricity, but I will have it NOW! Also, it will fit ALL my uses! I also plan to rework my newly arrived (used, gray) Yanmar tiller to have a modern 24" pin spacing. Then ALL my impliments will fit! All you need to do is spend the time ONCE to make it all fit, then it's gravy.

"Some days, it's not even worth chewing through the restraints!"

Got the postcard that my adapter was back ordered a week or so ago. still waiting. I unboxed the hitch (second) time.Attempted to see if I could somehow make it work. The bottom connectors worked great. But then I went to the next implement, and found that it would be 1 inch or so too narrow to grab the pins.
I re boxed it. It sat for a day or so until I decided take it to the PO. When I get the adapter, it will be OK . I'm sure Ill find another use for it.
I have another order with HF ready now.For misc other stuff.
I don't regret getting this, Its the first really unusable thing I got from them.
As for my friend who also got one. He has more troubles with it and is going to just keep it for junk . I'm sure he will makes something of it later on.
Looking forward to hear how others are doing with theirs. They must be selling , for there to be so much

If I can't use it on the 3 point I plan on welding a QA adapter to it for using on the fel - -- I want to build a boom pole - but I want to be able to use it on both the front & rear of the tractor so I figure this will be an easy way to adapt it for the fel. Maybe not the cheapest - but easiest. ... oh and I got the gloves right away and a BO slip just after.

It has been one month since ordered the quick hitch and it is still on backorder. Anyone else been waiting this long? :(

Yep, I waited almost two months for the hitch. I now wait for the adapter which is not only back ordered as the postcard says, but I cant even get the number to track it. Maybe christmas...
hang in there you will get it, I used to check the charge acct, they only bill when they ship it
Patience with HF>>.

I don't have HF quick hitch but one that looks exactly the same made by Land Pride. Have been pleased w speed difference in changing 3pt stuff. Do need to make adjustments to top but otherwise much faster. BTW one additional use for quick hitch. Great for hauling logs without dragging whole log on ground. Straddle log w quick hitch - lower quick hitch - chain or rope around big end of log - raise quick hitch and haul away. I've been clearing 5 acres this way and have minimal damage to ground. Cheap low impact logging.

The charge on my card appeared yesterday. They must have gotten a new shipment in. Hopefully, the new shipment will have the proper dimensions on everything.

Later,

Could someone post a picture or illustration of the adapter? I can't get past page 4 on the link.

 My update.
I returned mine via post office on July 5th. Just got the credit on my card today. Turned around and ordered twice as much other things. They were quite fast on the credit.
As for the adapter, Its still on backorder. If they send me a card, ill cancel it. otherwise Ill just set it on the workbench.
I wonder if they oversell these and other items and have to wait for them from get here from china.
Anyway thats where I stand. They stood behind it , And I am pleased overall. It just takes so long. Maybe they should have had me ship mine direct to you. But anyway the one I had is back with them ready to be reshipped .

I called HF Customer service today and got a FedEx tracking number. Checked FedEx and the package had arrived at FedEx's LA terminal. Expected delivery on July 21. So, hopefully, it'll be here by the weekend.

Not very tractor related :) but might help others in their posts!
I used the extreme brute force method, even though I have Adobe Acrobat Pro on another machine (lets you create PDFs, etc). I viewed the PDF using the free Adobe Reader, and zoomed so that the figure filled the viewing page - then copied it to the clipboard (pressing the Print Screen button - works differently than it did in the old DOS days - now it places "picture" (bitmap) of the screen on the clipboard). I pasted the bitmap (screen image) into image editing software, selected just the figure (removing the extra Windows junk), and saved it as a lower resolution image. Whew! :)
Hope that helps...
