Hand Throttle

I have a 4310 E Hydro and I can't seem to get the hand throttle to hold where I put it.
I've adjusted it 3 different times, it works for awhile than it'll float back down while running and loose RPM's.

The service manual that I have doesn't give a good brake down of this part, does anyone know if there is something that wears out in this area?

Most common problem is one or both friction disks (#2) are cracked or distorted.

Well replaced both the friction washers, spring washer, and a new lock nut.
Working great for now, hopefully it stays that way.

It should...for a while anyway. Where the old ones cracked?

No cracks, just hardened a bit.
I think the problem was actually the lock nut not holding.
