My son was doing some serious cutting with the Greenworks brushless 40 volt saw along with the pole saw.

Looks like he's been busy.

Wife bought a GW mower and string trimmer about 5 years ago. It was to maintain a 2nd house (she was working remotely). It works OK.

I hate messing with small engines. I have an Echo 58v saw. Took down and bucked a 25 year old ash tree with it. Only problems are a tendency to throw the chain and they changed to 56v, so its an orphan. We are switching slowly over to DeWalt because of the wide tool options and reduced likelihood of being orphaned.

I have the 80v saw... It's awful heavy and the battery doesn't last very long. I don't think I've used it since the week I bought it. My gasser is just lighter and runs longer.

I'd definitely not recommend the 80V

I was tempted on the 80V “Hog” saw, the thing has a battery about the size of a car battery. The tests done with it looked amazing on the first cut, but it was real heavy and it lacked stamina.
I'd be all in on one when they finally get the weight down.

The batteries, if you want run time, are terribly heavy. The gasser is hard to beat

I have the 60 volt 20 inch bar and it is heavy also but it is very good at cutting larger trees and with the 8 ah battery it will cut a lot of wood , I use it for cutting about 5 cord of firewood and I have extra batteries so it will outlast me

I have a hard time believing that a truck charger, charging those huge batteries would run your vehicle battery down pretty bad.
I had DeWalt 60v battery saw and tried running it all day rotating 3 separate batteries, and I was barely able to get my truck started, even with dual batteries.
