This might be a silly question but I'm a novice tractor guy and need to lubricate the loader for the first time on a Kubota MX5100. Read the instructions but it only tells you where to lubricte not how. I have the grease and the grease gun ready to go but how do I get the grease where it needs to go? Seems like a tight fit where all the movement takes place. Any help appreciated.

Push the tip of the grease gun on the Zerk fitting and pump it until you can just barely see grease come out around the pins.

An exception is the Zerks by the wheels. Just 2 or 3 squirts are fine. They have sealed bearings in most cases.

Then comes the fun...getting the tip off of the Zerk fittings. Most of the time a simple bend of the tip/pipe will do it. But sometimes the Zerk is deep in a socket that protects it. Some use a screwdriver to pry it off, others unscrew the tip which releases the locking mechanism.

When you get tired of the hassle of greasing every 10 hours you may want to consider a air-operated grease gun if you have an air compressor.

It helps to get a flexible hose for your grease gun. If your gun has the rigid pipe, that may be why it seems tight in some areas to use the gun.

and also raise your loader so you dont have downward pressure on your zerks.

You may find that different grease fittings require the loader to be in different positions for access. When greasing my FEL or excavator, I have the machine running so I can access all the different fittings.

I put a hose on my grease gun then found it takes three hands to grease anything. One to hold the tip on the fitting, and two to operate the grease gun. So I bought a pistaol grip style grease gun and problem solved.

Did the same thing. Got a practically new lever style that gets little use compared to pistol grip one.
