So we have a bit of a warm up today. Going to his 40F or so. I am planning on spending some time in the shop getting things cleaned up and organized. One task that I could take care of us greasing all the "summer" equipment (the bush hog and the like). Since they will not be used between now and spring is that a viable plan?

I am a total tractor newbie. Maybe 30 hrs on my first tractor. That reminds me FEL needs greased again.

Just don't know how the cold we will have between now and spring will effect the grease that is left to just sit in the implement.

If it's a good quality grease, you'll be alright. It's also a good time to look implements over real well, and check for loose bolts, cracks/breaks, leaky seals etc., and get them repaired before needing them next year.

Any grease better than no grease, helps to keep moisture and dirt out.

I use 10-KLE-GADUS-S2 Shell grease year round. It is a 'winter' grease and will flow at lower temperatures.
