Here is my front mounted rake contraption. I actually use it more often with the rake tines turned inward so I rake while backing up and spread dirt driving forwards. I would give it a C minus overall but it does come in handy at times. Best part is being able to see exactly where the rake is when maneuvering close to the house etc.

I have one of the front mount "rake contraptions" but haven't used it for my rake yet, used for snow plow that way I have an easy on easy off plow to bucket if needed. Going to try with rake now

It looks great!
Even better, I'm guessing it weighs less than your bucket by quite a bit!! :cool2:
Travis

Seems lighter but really helps getting the load so close to the pins. I haven't been able to bend it yet and I have been really beating on it. Another great feature is using it to get unstuck just plant the closed grapple against the ground or stump your next to and open it and the hydraulics have plenty of power to push you back to get unstuck in the soft ground.

Loving my new 55" EA Wicked root rake grapple. Moving one of my big brush piles out of my field. Love the clamping force and versatility of it. Works great for picking up logs, brush and stumps been ripping out a bunch of alder stumps with the nice soft ground. Yes I know the ROPS is not all the way up, only way it will fit in my shed. I do have loaded rears and my ballast barrel on though. :)

Looks like you're getting some pretty big bites with that rake style grapple.

Great for brush and other compressible stuff, just don't try to pick up two or three logs or rocks at once. The clamshell hinge will jamb on the first and nothing else will be clamped. Same issue as with 4n1 buckets.

If only it was wider and had two lids... :D

No worries about multiple rocks with my small tractor. I was able to pick up multiple logs no problem, you have to come down on them from the top and clamp them then rotate back the bucket once you have them. Just unloaded a bunch of 6x6 timbers from my trailer and was able to pick 3 off the top row from above no problem, would be a huge pain with a standard grapple and having them hanging out that far, even if I could get my loader up high enough.

Very cool rake set up and great view!
