What's the weight?

Very nice work. Why is there two separate cylinders/sections? I don't know anything about this type of grapple.
thanks,
dave

On the larger grapples, it is advantageous to have 2 lids to better pickup loads that are bigger on one end than the other. Think of perhaps a tree stump, one lid can close on the larger end, and the other on the smaller end. Or perhaps a rock that is unbalanced.

Thanks! With it being 72" long it's Able to clamp on loads across the grapple. Both work on the same valve but once one hits whatever material your carrying then the other will continue on until it hits and pressure is applied to both equally giving it more Stability.

That attachment is very cool.

Awesome build. You have no idea how much you are gonna use this attachment.

It makes a very lazy man outta ya though. So be prepared for that. I'll work a minute or two trying to pick up a small branch with the Grapple rather than get off and pick it up by hand!!! ;)

If a person is gonna take the time to build a Grapple, you definitely want to build with two "jaws". As James said, it increases productivity dramatically. Even with Brush, it will pick up a bigger load. And most importantly, it will not drop brush all the way to the pile.

I've built a LOT of attachments and add-ons. None have a payback like a Grapple.

Again, great build!!!! You do quality work and should get many, many years use from this gear.

Very nice! Did you get the writing/cutting done or did you do it yourself?

Thanks, I have a Water Jet Machine. Makes things considerably easier on projects like this.

Right at $1000.00 in materials. Metal, Hydraulics, hoses, fittings etc. Guessing around 30 hrs, does not include any design time. Nothing my tractor can do to tear it up. I Tried!! Its by far the best attachment Ive got. Thanks!
