I have always been under the impression that the mfgs gcwr is just a suggestion, and not the rule.

If all individual gawr's are not exceeded, and the gvwr's as a whole for the trailer and truck aren't exceeded, and tires are within spec......then the rig is fine.

I'll use Xfaxman's tandem trailer pic as an example of GCVWR's importance. He probably met all of the axle rating standards. So he can keep adding trailers as long as he doen't exceed max length regs?
