Good morning!!!!

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of -0.4C and it's presently 14.0C, clear & calm.

Received a WhatsApp text from my friend in Washington, D.C.. Only she forgot that her 1200 (noon) is my 0200. :D The bugger is that when you get a text or call during the wee hours you HAVE to answer/respond to it. I'll call/text her soon.

Nothing planned for today, again. That's about it, take care all.

Good evening all. 72ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Light wind until thunderstorms arrived, Sk clouded up in afternoon and at least 3/8 inch rain, and high temp was 102ºF, HI 106ºF. Made coffee to start day, oatmeal for breakfast. Bike ride, cool off unload truck bed, and nap. lost power while in shower for 8 minutes, had enough light to finish. Outboard motor was grandpa's then Dad's then old brother, now mine. It not locked up, too much going on to work on it :(.
Buppies prayers for you and Holly.
Frits prayers for your wife.

Coffee is brewing. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with a few clouds. .11" rain since yesterday morning. Grocery shopping went good. Then got shop cleaned up and all supplies put away where I hope find them when needed again. PT this morning. Then do a search for the other spare bolts I have for mower blades. Messicks wants $15 each for them. No other plans for today.
Can you hear me.

Good Morning All.

Morning all!
Currently 58 going to a rainy 74.
Woke up early with severe hand pain. Arthritis kicking in from working on the tractor yesterday!
I went out to mount the bucket so I could turn the mulch pile out back. I noticed a stream of oil on the floor as I was leaving the garage!
One of the quick connectors decided to start leaking! I tried reattaching a few times but no go. Luckily I kept all the old ones I had replaced and mounted one of them back on. Leak fixed and pile turned before the rains came! Now I pay the price for pulling so hard to get the fitting removed.
Other than that and normal living things are going good.
Cigar tubes are selling. 5 of them already made and sold! A few other projects completed and a few more in the loop.

Buppies, thanks for letting me know someone appreciated my work. Surprised they know what a shift knob is! Most people now a days don't!
Sorry to hear Holly fell! Hope she heals up quick!

That's it for now.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

I like to go to the weekly Concerts in the Park held by the little town I live in. Have not gone lately because of my foot. Yesterday evenings event was one I wish I had not missed. It was for ALS of Michigan. My wife passed from this terrible disease 6 years ago. Jimmie Bones on the keyboard has it.
So glad someone did a video of it.

good morning all and welcome to August.
temps really dropped last night, nice to not hear a/c run all night
lovely day today, high of only 75.
Phil, sorry your hand hurts. Some days I wonder what part of me is going to malfunction today...
your woodwork continues to delight and impress.

not sure what I will get into today. Nice to look at calendar and see an empty spot.

Ron, 15 bucks for a Kubota bolt, sure must be finished nicely?
bet it's something complicated like reverse thread, and does it have a socket inset in head?
better harden that bolt or since reverse thread, you just know it will get overtightened by mistake.
seems to be some question whether reverse threaded is "right threaded" but apparently right threaded is normal,
tighten to the right.

my JD mower is not reverse thread, nor was my Gravely. The Gravely used those Belleville washers instead.
wow, look at this bolt from Messicks. 39 bucks for a blade bolt.

Good Morning TBNers,
Ct, 59 to start going to 72 with mostly cloudy skies. I think most of the rain has passed by but not the clouds. I don’t think we got as much rain as predicted but we did get enough to forgo watering the garden and outside plants for another day or so. We also got a fair amount of wind but my antenna is still up in the trees so I guess it’s all good 😉.

Looks like work this morning but only a couple of deliveries.

Phil, sorry to hear about your hand injury, hopefully that feels better soon. Every morning I wake up there is always something that hurts 😉

On the radio front, I’m waiting on a coil for my whip antenna that will hopefully be delivered today. This will expand my band coverage to 40 and 80 meters for my portable POTA operation.

Steve, I see that you did a like on my post yesterday, so I really do want to try FT8 operation hopefully by this fall. And I still have the PM that you sent me on the cable connection between the transceiver and computer. I will need to pick that up. Was kind of wondering how the computer clicks get synchronized? But I’m sure I will at some point.

We have 2 of our grandchildren for an overnight stay this afternoon and night. Maybe we will take them to the carnival in a near by town.

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

Good morning TBN!!!
70 this morning going to low 90s. No rain yesterday but a wider spread chance this afternoon.

Happened to be on CL looking at "stuff" Man advertised a 6ft Ford scrape blade for $175. Called him drove about 45 minutes and picked it up. About 1/2 the price of what I usually see. First CL buy for me and I am pleased. Also picked up 2 oil change fluid catch for my lift. One with a very nice 35 gal barrel. Both brand new. $100. Now I'll probably be a CL junkie  :giggle:
No plan today really. I may start getting the plasma and genny loaded up to cut on old tank on Sat. High of 80 will make it much more doable.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!!

good morning, 65 going to 75 nice and looks like it will stay cooler the next week or so

Found some German speaking movies for wife to watch. She wanted to keep up her German and turning off the English subtitles allowed her to immerse herself in the language. She said it was easy to understand because they were speaking very clear Hochdeutch. Dialects like Platdeutch can be difficult to understand

The bolt for Ron's mower blades is the same I have on the Kubota ZT. It is a good mounting system and when I had problems with it, it was entirely user error

May get some service work done on the equipment today

Good morning, the low is 46 and going up to 75°F. Wind E 3 mph. A mix of sun and cloud.

Drew, lefty tighty, righty loosey just doesn't have the same 'ring' to it. ;)
My Packard had left hand threads on the left side wheel studs. Each stud had a little 'L' stamped into it.

I'm going to shop around and see if I can score a 80lb bag of flake calcium. I've got some grass that desperately needs killing.

Not much going on today, just another day of rest.

Have a safe day all

what a lovely cool morning out
62 degrees, hard to believe, just picked tomatoes, brought in about five pounds.
In another day or two will be a dozen more as all the determinate tomatoes ripen.

Bill, yes, a L or an arrow, something.

saw some garden weeding I need to do, will head back out to do that.
only got a third of an inch of rain last night but that softened the ground a little.
sure made the grass green. again...lot of mowing.
but I see a ten day much cooler dry forecast
painting and paving weather... 👍

72 this morning storms went east west south of us. Thunder but only spit rain. Several of new shrubs drowned 🙁.

Got grass mowed all but at the road. Side yard unmovable due to downed trees. Sciatic nerve will not allow me to do much uneven ground a no no. Even riding zero turn causes pain if ride gets bumpy.

Cool engine mostly

Hope wife is better m7040 or at least has better day

Phil how about making pens one gentleman man I know makes them from bullets and casings with different types of wood in between popular item he sells met him at place we get drawings for jobs to estimate.

Prayers for all our Country

Thank you for the thought

She copes the best she can and the pains are always there but gets worse in periods where it is debilitating. We celebrate when there is a little relief for her and hope it will last a while

   / Good morning!!!! #209,596
Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 62° heading to a high of 77°. Cloudy with a smattering of rain. Heard some wind last night but we didn't get nearly the amount of rain or the severity of storms called for.

Glad this week is over, it was a whirlwind of a week at work. Heat makes everyone snappy and short tempered. Can't say I blame them, If I was working essentially outdoors in 108° real feel temps, I'd be peevish too.

Looked at the twelve acres with the old man. Twelve is really a misnomer, as there's a little flyaway spit heading down the mountain. Main block of the parcel is maybe 10 acres total. Mobile home on it is a write off. But the plusses are established water, septic and electric There's also a road someone had cut higher up into the parcel. Slope isn't vertical, but isn't nothing either. The timber that's on it isn't valuable, but they haven't logged it out either.

Don't know why they chose to put everything so close to the gravel road, as the property goes up to and over the ridge. My best guess is they went as far as the money could go and parked the mobile wherever they could get it. 199k for it, which is insanity. Especially because it's an estate. Though it did just go on the market. I think they'll find out real quick that it's not worth it.

Not much else going on, Mom returns from snuggling with my nephew this week today. I need to start the process of getting the tags for the trailer today. Lunch meeting. Boss wants to buy some firewood off me and needs some landscaping help at some point. Otherwise goals for this weekend involve doing as little as possible.

Passed a Mennonite farm on the way into work, they had a massive oak tree down in their yard. Don't think we had collected any damage at our place, but I'm sure I'll hear about it if we did.

Prayers for all Ailing and Recovering!
Y'all stay safe out there this weekend and be well! Enjoy the cooler weather all!

Drew, this is the one I need.
There are some on Amazon and EBAY. But the reviews are not very good.
There is this; 4 stars for three bolts @ $16.20, or $5.40/ea

Not cheap but not insane for an unusual headed M12 bolt.

These are only grade 2. I don't know what the Kubota's are. Some designs are design to shear, and some aren't.

All the best,

Peter

Scott you can get the Drivers needed from Icom and install them once that's done plug the USB cable to the radio and PC and you will see Com Port for the rig.
Then you install the software you want to try (FT8) set it up with the Com port that was created in the PC. I use AnyDesk software for AFMARS and install and help many folks with that I can login and help if needed.(AnyDesk is free)

Morning all, 64 going to 75 and cloudy, feels downright chilly.
So total for yesterday about 1.25" , heard NYC got quite a bit and some flooding.

This weekend is my birthday, I will be as old as my mother when she died.

Be well,

The brothers, can see them getting bigger week to week.
