Drew, hope all is well.
Drew, hope all is well.
good morning all.
Not doing too well this morning, headed off to primary doc's in an hour and then likely most of day in hospital cardiac unit.
But I got all my baking done for garden club this morning, so I don't have to worry about that. Just have to drop all the muffins and brownies at the club meeting, then headed to primary, who will likely ship me right off to hospital. I packed a bag, laptop, wifi, underwear... Hopefully they won't find anything. The last year has been pretty hard on me, for a guy who rarely gets sick. I'm not used to it and living alone makes it all worse. Taking a thumping and keeping on humping. Have to make every day a good one.
Meeting with realtors went fine. They want to list it now, of course, told them May when I get back from rv trip West. Apparently this is a buyer beware state and they are telling me not to be at showings because I volunteer too much info, a full disclosure guy that gives realtors the willies.
Good Morning!!!! 40F @ 6:30AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 54F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
Hoping you get good news at the doctor's office, Drew, and glad you're getting that numbness checked out.
Sounds to me like somebody needs to have a talk with the new neighbors about minding their own darn business, Thomas.:muttering:
Nice work, Ted. What's your secret?
The gal from environmental services came out yesterday, and we spent some time making measurements to find safe locations for the electrical trench and solar panel array posts. She left satisfied I wouldn't be punching any holes in the leach lines, and in the afternoon my building permit was approved. Time to get busy placing orders and getting a fire going under the solar power contractor!
Called my neighbor that will drill the 6' deep post holes, and he's down with the flu. Sounds like he's swallowed a frog, but there's plenty of time for him to recover before I'll have everything needed for those holes.
Visited with my other neighbor that has the trencher, and made some measurements of it to help lay out the trench path. His wife raises goats, and she said there were over thirty new babies this past year. They'd sold most of them, and said it was more work than it was worth, so she's reducing their numbers to just what their land/brush can support.
Ended the day with another campfire, feeding it old medical insurance statements. Most of those envelopes remained unopened, and the fire caused the plastic windows in them to shrivel up in a most peculiar way.:confused2: Gonna call 'em today and see if I can go electronic for the statements and save the waste of paper.
While I was out there, I listened to the new album from The Who. Some of the lyrics are loaded with nostalgia, not surprising from guys in their 70s. Even better, their voices and playing are still great; if you're a Who fan, it's worth checking out.
TGIF gang!:drink:
