Good morning!!!!

75F and partly cloudy @ 09:45, calling for a high of 77F for the day. Chance of a shower this morning, thunderstorms developing later this afternoon. Chance of rain 100%.

Finished up mowing the front lawn first thing yesterday while 2nd sprayer continued to refill.

Refilled hopper feeder after that, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

After that spent most of the spraying glyphosate and refilling sprayers.

Did area up around the shed + some driveway.

Did around all the oak trees along the road.

Did around the large Rose of Sharon, gingko and apple (?) trees.

Did around the drain outlet from the upper field.

Did the edge of the northwest planting bed.

Sprayed around 2 1/2 - 3 gallons.

Ran out of juice as I was refilling sprayer. Will need to mix up another 6 gallons today.

Grilled some brats for dinner.

Juvenile groundhog appeared at the feeders after that, blasted it from the kitchen window. Need to remember to put on hearing protection next time. Hauled the carcass up to compost/woodlot for the buzzards.

The noise scared the bejeebers out the Little Squeak and she disappeared for about 4 hours but ultimately all was forgiven.

Off to appointment shortly.

Scotty,

Hope it's nothing serious and it all turns out ok.

Drew, that is great news!

Scott, isn't that the hard way to catch a buzz? Hopefully nothing too serious.

Back from the garage, $345.oo for one CV axle shaft supplied and installed. They found a busted spring, on the right front. They are struts so I will be needing 2. There goes some more of my stash.

67°F and .69 inches rain and raining.

Got a good start mowing interior areas yesterday.
A more challenging effort was trying to get a signature guarantee. Struck out 4 places. Guess I will be calling around.

Nice HH gathering

Plan for the day is to be part of a concrete mixing and pouring crew, but this rain will have to quit.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day.

Ultrasound screening for triple A (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm) completed.

Couldn’t get any real info out of either of the 2 lady techs that performed it of course.

Since they didn’t wheel me straight into the ER I guess that’s a reasonably positive sign.

Probably hear something back from my PCP on the results in the next week.

Time for a fried egg sandwich.

Was starting to spit rain right as we got home.

Hopefully that will hold off for a bit so I can go check the live trap.

Drew - great news, Made my day.
Scotty - not as bad as it could be, hope it passes quick.

When I had my stone, they morphed me up.
Later they released me thinking my wife was at the hospital already.
She was 30 minutes out.

She found me wandering aimlessly in the parking lot, I had no clue what was happening. 🙃

Given enough morphine, it's all good.
I'm told it's a wonderful drug, though my favorite to go nighty night is propofol.
I'm not sure how amnesia works but only time I simply don't remember what happened.
sure can see how continued repeated use of that stuff might dim your wits...

no matter what sounds like Scott is in pain, sorry friend, flush it out, expel the alien host...

headed out to finish the weedeating. Figure I'd better enjoy this cooler weather.
found my first tiny ripening red cherry tomato
took my scissors and cut off some of the low lying leaves, particularly the ones not in good shape.
in a crowded raised garden bed, i need to get air into the towers of veggies or they get moldy at the bottom.

Curcubit sprouting report.

Winter squash:

Hubbard Blue - 1

Hubbard Golden - 2

Guatemalan Blue - 1

Waltham Butternut - 3

Pumpkins:

Small Sugar - 3

Casper (white) - 2

Big Max - 1 (can go to over 150 lbs !)

The above are all ones that are on the back shelves.

A few of them have really grown significantly in the last 24 hours.

The other 30 seeds I planted in pots I put in the greenhouse in the dining room to see if I could get them to sprout faster.

Just opened that up and the needle on the thermometer was buried. (It's a refrigerator thermometer and it only goes to 80F)

No action on any of those yet.

RS, geez any kind of aneurysm is bad news, don't go popping anything for sure.

No plans to.

Was just a preventative screening that my pcp recommended I have done.

stay healthy friend, lot of tomatoes are depending upon you...
including the cutest tomato, your wife, of course. :giggle:
