Good evening all. Back for from Kansas, 484 miles to ride across the state. 2 1/8 inch in rain gauge. 200+ emails in in box. Made it home from Wichita with no problems other than intermittent steering wheel buttons(no cruise when they don't work). Truck unloaded. most stuff put away but dirty laundry.
Welcome home Mostly.

The days keep on coming and going.
Sunday morning the neighbor called saying he needed a ride to the hospital.
I was still in bed.
Got dressed quick and out the door, 5 minutes.
He was at the door as I pulled up to his house.
He walked over and got in and off we went.
I was at serious risk of a speeding ticket.
Didn't matter.
He was dead just about the time I pulled up to Emerg.
Not even 50.
The sun came up today.
Wow, our condolences. only 50. sad

road in front of house getting partially paved, they are chewing up what looks to be about two feet of right side and going to redo
the road edge. Chew it up, brush it, squirt hot tar on it and I guess the paver is coming next.
whatever they are doing it will last at best two years.

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! 61° going to a high of 66° cloudy and drizzly for the remainder of the week.

Had a good weekend with just the dog and I. Burned all the cardboard that accumulates from my mother's Amazon addiction on a rainy Saturday.
Got only one yard mowed before the rain came down. Got the hammer drill Dad requested for Father's day from Home Depot. Also picked up the proper trimmer line for the weed eater. The folks had an uneventful trip back from Pittsburg and seemed pretty sleepy when they arrived. Just let them unwind and enjoy the end of the Open in peace.

Now just trying to wake up on Monday as usual. Always some chaos. Dentist appointment at 4pm, so that will be a joy. Only other plan for this week is to get new scope mounted on .308. The cheap Nikon pro-staff has served it's purpose but it's time to retire.

Otherwise, just surviving the work week, maybe campground owning friend will call for the log splitter as it's supposed to be nice this weekend. I'll ask him.

Drew, Let me know if assistance is needed, I'm not too far from you. I'll bring the 500i and if need be, I can rent a trailer for my Kubota.
Welcome Back Mostly! Hope the trip went well.
Massey, what a shame. my prayers for you, your neighbor and his family.
BEF, very impressed with the decking project. It's a lot of work for one man alone!

All not specified, be safe out there and guard your health! Stay dry!
Prayers for all ailing and recovering!

69F and mostly cloudy @ 11:30, calling for a high of 78F for the day.

Well diagnostic appointment ended up being a bust. Scheduler who originally scheduled it apparently typed in the wrong year … ‘26 instead of ‘25 … lol.

Fortunately the lady I spoke to was able to get me rescheduled for tomorrow …

Got live trap assembled last night.

Got a shot off at the big groundhog this morning, may have hit it … but it still managed to scurry back to its burrow.

There were 3 juveniles out as well.

Of course they all scattered when the gun discharged.

Finish refilling 2 sprayer next thing on agenda this morning.

Refill feeders.

Then finish up mowing the front.

Beyond that see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday.

68°F and .31 inches rain

Nothing accomplished yesterday. Just an easy, chill out day with Sophie interspersed with little stories of her and her sisters.

Had a really good grilled Ribeye

Need to start new round of mowing.

Happy Hour in town today
Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Buppies, the company I just retired from has 6 Wirtgen 1000 grinders. (I think they are technically called 'pavement profilers' but I am not sure.)

The big stump that was in the back yard is now in three pieces at the end of the north Field. Managed to knock down 5 of the eight trees, too. Black flies and mosquitoes stayed hidden, but the deer flies didn't.

BEF, it looks like you just inherited another cat.

went out and put a few bolts thru headers and posts on the deck, but still misting and very muddy under there, just did the outside ones I could get without tracking thru the mud. only 66 deg, but humid once you start doing any work.

Nice pictures Thomas sons of Boo?

L4N I always knew them as Milling Machines can do 13 in deep at one time. Have 2 foot heads up to over 7 feet. There are some much larger but I’ve never been around them. Some milling companies call themselves profilers. For Drew Donagal is a large milling company in Pa owns Delta in NC. They do really good work

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.3C and it's presently 12.7C, partly cloudy with a gentle breeze. There was 7.3mm in the gauge @ 0900 from overnight showers.

A very good Parish Council meeting last evening. Home by 1810. A quiet evening was had.

Nothing planned for today, which is just fine. It means that nothing 'pressing' is on 'the list'.

That's about it, take care all.

Good Evening,
Scott glad you are having fun with the radio. I'm sure you mentioned it but what kind of antenna
are you running?
Drew, I’m using a DX Engineering OCF dipole antenna. The OCF stands for Off Center fed. It’s a 7 band antenna that has a balun and I’m able to tune the transmitter with the built in tuner rather than an external tuner. Seems to be working out well.
I’m not happy with the runout on the 3 jaw lathe chuck since I reinstalled it
Paul, possibly a small chip or dirt on the inner chuck taper register ? Good Luck ! 🙏

Massey, prayers to you and your friends family 🙏
