ticks suck, in every form of the word...

got car washed and most of rv
then run downtown to get six more bags of hardwood mulch
taking a break before I start on the lawn, won't run mower until noon anyway

lot of bicyclists and motorcycles out on road, bicycle club really was a hazard to driving on these narrow windey country roads
this is a very pretty area but not all that bicycle friendly until you go to the parks or along the Towpath

63F and fair @ 10:15, calling for a high of 65F for the day.

Worked on clean up in the shop for most of yesterday. Got 2 (of the 3) enclosed 4' storage shelves along the west wall cleaned out and stuff put back away.

Moved new saw horses down to the house. Since, for the time being, they are being used on pavement will worry about plating the feet later, after I get the posts coated.

That will give me a chance to get the drops unburied and see what I have to stick on there.

Got all the mowing done down here around the house later in the afternoon after it warmed up a bit. Still felt pretty chilly with the wind.

Woman ran out to the grocery store for supplies, also hit the pharmacy while She was out.

Got original bandage removed from my neck and replaced with a new dressing. Woman was surprised at the number of stitches.

On agenda for today:

Finish up coating the first two 6" x 12' posts, maybe fetch the other two out of the barn and get started on those.

Plant the last of the brassicas and get them covered.

Repot those couple of tomato seedlings.

Maybe start mowing the upper part of the front lawn. The bottom portion is likely still too wet. Will shoot for tomorrow afternoon on that.

See what else comes up.

Very thankful ticks seem to be few and far between around here.

Hope everyone is having a decent Sunday ... (y)

Morning all, going up to 68.
Finished swale yesterday, ran to get salt for pool and run errands.
Hope to get pool open today.

New driveway should start Tuesday, and finish based on weather.
Price was within what we thought and ran it by Buppies :)

Be well,

66°F and .37 inches rain Squeezed most welcome be my friend that poured small concrete pad.

Changed fuel filter on my mule, not the problem, but glad I changed it. More investigation.

Get to spend a few hours with Sophie before taking her to airport. Headed to Az to play companion/caregiver for sister getting back surgery. Sister lives alone since husband passed and won’t be allowed to drive for 2 weeks.

The furry kids and I get to bach it.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning.
50° and sunny, high in the middle 60’s and becoming partly cloudy.
Yesterday actually had a few passing brief showers, only totaled .01”, but brought a nice view off the patio of the old folks home.

We got Zoe’s old crate out when she came back from her surgery in case we needed to contain her, which we didn’t. However, she still likes it as her fort. I put her bed in there, I wonder if that’s the attraction.

But she will randomly come and go into it. She seems pretty comfortable in there.

I did take the hedge trimmer and chainsaw for a trip down the lane, cutting back any encroaching growth, and improving the visibility around the blind turn.

Also got the oil changed in the little plane with the help of grandson and son. Helped them with a flagstone patio at the pond, grandson is now fluent with a level, checking everything in sight.

Got to get moving, I’m making waffles for the kids, a routine that is many decades old, and I’m not tired of it yet.
Paul we have had a similar crate since 2000. Has been the “fort” and safe place for 26 boxers and 3 cats. That includes the 3 litters. Simba, the cat mixes it up and lies on top instead of inside sometimes. They use it everyday, each taking their turn. Well, the new girl, Makana seems to be taking her share plus. The only time door is closed is to secure the pillows, which Makani still likes to drag outside when we are not home. Guess it will never get taken down. Originally got it as Jack, our 2nd boy had very bad separation anxiety when we adopted him. Took him just 2 times left along to prove Sophie didn’t need any house plants.

showers threatening but not happening.
got some carnauba butter wax put down on half the car, as usual carnauba little touchy being applied
to hot metal. I'd wait til the shade came out and then apply. Maybe I just like the smell of that wax.
going over some detailer polish, always wonder about compatability but this did fine. Little slicker when the bugs hit.

have a problem tree in the woods, a leaner into another tree.
was out studying that today. Wish I had a tractor and a chain...
I think if I pull the bottom to the right it will fall off the hangup branch.

ribs went into toaster oven for 45 minutes on low, then will go out on barbecue to get a little crunch hopefully
