Good morning!!!!

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low was a very mild (for Autumn) 14.3C and it's presently 16.1C, overcast with drizzle & calm. There was 23.5mm in the gauge @ 0900. I let the woodheater go out prior to toddling off to bed.

All that rain pretty much occurred around 2430 to 0100, waking me up to the sound of it pounding on my roof. A lovely sound and the ground was thirsty enough to absorb it all.

Yesterday's beekeeper seminar went an hour overtime (to 1600), but that's OK as I sat in the back of the Church Hall and learnt something.

Not too much on for today, perhaps some dhobi as the house water tank should've been topped up last night.

That's about it, take care all.

I do have to say that drinking coffee black - without cream and sugar - is one of the more unsatisfying things I have experienced in life.

Bleech ...

An acquired taste. Grew up drinking cream and 2 sugars, switched in the army.

I went from double/double to cream only and then to black. Black is better if you want to put whiskey in it. From there I switched to kaluha and black coffee. Now I only drink coffee when I go to Boston Pizza for lunch once a month. Seeing as I am the driver it is only black coffee no add ons.

Coffee is brewing. 39° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with clouds in afternoon. Got all the grass cut yesterday. Moved trailers around to the 2 barn lean-toos. Then moved all the lumber from crates metal roofing was shipped up to barn loft. Did some barn cleanup. Today I need to take string trimmer for a walk around property.
Birds hope to dry out today.

I knew I needed to grease the axle bearings on my trailer before I left on my trip, and stopped in at Heath's service station
in Lambertville NJ, just across the river, where the owner knew I was coming for a drive thru grease job.
His father is still alive, near 100, still stops in at station, and was there in 1965, 60 years ago, when i bought my first gas
from this station on a junior permit.

I had to chuckle at the motor oil left out in plain view. Most places would lock it up, gets stolen. I guess not here...

Morning all!
47 going to a rainy 54 today.
Helping family move a few items this morning. Hopefully will stay dry.
This afternoon I'm meeting up with someone about 25 miles away to sell the old lathe.
Not sure if anything else will get done.

Tried making something in the shop yesterday. Worked all day and have nothing to show for it! Wood was to far gone to stay together. Had some spectacular explosions though! One was so loud bouncing off the wall my wife texted to see if I was ok. Lol! I knew it was junk but wanted to see if I could salvage something. Oh well. You don't know if you don't try.

Good morning! Up before the guests. 78˚F heading to the upper 90s, S winds.
on the agenda for today will be watching the model club do their thing with sailboats and cars, then in the heat of the afternoon water volleyball. Our pool temp is 84˚ in the afternoon, very swimmable.

We are already planning their next visit next year. Their first cruise will be out of Galveston.

I found a big spider in the kitchen sink this morning. like this thing was huge! 1" long body and 3/4" across. Black as your boot. It is dead now and outside.

think I might make a run downtown early to pick up four or five bags of mulch, whatever will fit in suv without me
taking out any of the storage crates in rear. This is a much smaller suv than expedition, that was so big kinda hard to reach the
end of storage area. With third seats in mine folded all the time, won't usually need more. I'm learning to really like the side swinging
rear door. Reminds me of station wagons as a kid. Did Fords have them? Three way wagon tailgates were as interesting back then as these new
multihinged pickup truck tailgates are today. Remember the clamshell wagons? Rear door would drop underneath the body.

Chilly start at 43 degrees. We should have upper 70s under mostly sun.

Very productive day yesterday. Major milestone.

First time in 8 moths that car has been at the house. Sure will make grocery getting a whole lot easier!
More of the same today. Still lots to do but at least it is functional again. Maybe take a few days off after tomorrow. Supposed to rain next week and I want to see it "age" a little.
Sure is keeping my step count up. 11,750 yesterday and over 8k daily for the whole week. Not with out the body complaining about it though!

Ct, 44 to start going to 58. Bright sunny skies but cool this morning. Got home yesterday about 11 am , traffic not to bad coming out of Bayonne. Trying to get my feet planted on the ground, but did manage to mow the grass yesterday, it was wet but I cut it high.

It was a nice trip with the family even though I’m really not a cruise guy. Grandkids had a ball. Good to be home. I need to do a little catching up on TBN.

GM, Steve and thanks for that. Honestly I don’t like that call sign, so the first thing I did when I got home yesterday was submit a request for a vanity call sign with the FCC. I would rather not say on here what I applied for Steve, I can PM you later. So it will be a few more days before I hopefully get the call sign I want. Keep in mind that I’m mostly a CW guy, so it is shorter. I also need to get my dipole up, my neighbor has a bucket truck since he is an electrician, so hoping later today or tomorrow.
