good morning all
glad to see that snow far North of us
like most on east coast going to be a wet day, up to one inch of rain.
have no plans other than continuing to unload rv.

Ron, get a good nap today.

45 going up to 60 in rain. Snowdrops are saying hello, still waiting on forsythia

Good morning, the low is 32 and going to 43°F. Wind E 9 mph. Rain. Raining right now, but the deck is not shiny so it is not freezing rain.

If it isn't raining cats and dogs/gully washer then I will do the work to the tractor. If it is then I will just plow. I have options. ;)

mostly, I have been eating ribs once every month for the past 5 years. They have been getting smaller (but the price hasn't gotten any lower) and tougher every time I went there. Time for a change.

Time to get breakfast into me and check out the news.

Have a safe day all

58 outside this AM, may get into the 60's. Lots of rain expected.

Vet coming shortly for horse. Been an issue for a few weeks now. Lots of drama and not with the horse. LOL.

Time to get moving, hunker down for the weather and do some real work.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

   / Good morning!!!! #204,129
that's a big snow storm going by North of us, you guys be careful out there.
would be a 7 to 8 incher if snow here.
ground is soggy now, boy going to be a muddy mess when this is done.
I have some gravel to rake out of the lawn, might work on that before the rain comes.
something to get me outside and moving.

pics from 13 years ago popped up
one of my first restorations was a Ferris zero turn owned by local municipality.
They beat the heck out of it and it needed just about all the wear points replaced.
very complicated suspension, truly independent at all four wheels and drove beautifully.
loved it until I lost my grip and could no longer keep gripping those handles.
but sure did have fun rebuilding it. It was an unloved put away mess when I got it for a good price, but
think I put several thousand in parts in it.

because I was helping to mow in Quaker Meeting's graveyard, and because of three hundred year old super fragile
gravestones, I installed slippery plastic bumpers on the deck. Tried to never hit of course, but this way no paint left and it did sort of slide off
without damage. Had to countersink it all, but it worked.
always surprised someone didn't offer that as an option on the side opposite discharge.

Good Morning
53° and going to stay around that all day, with rain and possibly thunderstorms this afternoon.

Trip to Sarasota was pretty uneventful, we ate the lunch we brought from Wawa on the way home, so we could hit the ground running when we landed.
Got a few chores done in the shop, had a nice visit with the neighbors acrcoss the street at the end of our lane. They are moving to the NJ shore. Settlement on this house is Friday.

Today will start with breakfast with the professor, then theoretically someone from Marketplace is coming to buy my old Miller TIG welder. Hopefully I have better luck the RNG does with Marketplace buyers.
It served me well, I bought it new over 40 years ago, I’m keeping the water cooler, I’ve connected it to the new welder.
I still use it as a stick welder, but it takes up a lot of space, and can use the new MIG welder as a power source for stick welding if I need to.

This afternoon the tile setter is coming to do the backsplash in the great room where we added the cabinetry.
Might sneak some 3D printing in, I’d like to continue to clean out upstairs in the shop as well.

Good Morning,
Ct, 40 to start going to 52 ! Mostly cloudy with intermittent rain coming through this morning with heavy rain later ! Most of the snow cover
Is gone in Ct, so hopefully no flooding when heavy rains come !

Fuddy, beautiful job on those barn doors, should last a very long time being made out of anti rot material!

Drew, what a great job on that Zero Turn ! I thought you said, you had no talent the other day ? 😉

Hope to get a few miles in before the heavy rains arrive!

Stopped at our local NAPA store on the way home from work, and picked up oil for my Massey Ferguson work tractor in Vermont along with a new rear wiper for Kathleen’s Honda CRV. I forgot to get the oil filter ? 🤣. So back down this morning for that ! Also a trip to Walgreens for my BP med !

Prayers for Buppies, and all others in need ! Ash Wednesday today, so a trip to church ! 🙏

Hope all have a blessed Ash Wednesday! 🙏

Good morning TBN!!
54 breezy and wet but I don't think we are getting it as bad as others around us. I think most of it has already passed. Should get to about 70 and nicer this afternoon.
Somewhat productive yesterday. Started to work on the torch cart but had the doors closed in the morning so I couldn't weld. Instead I organized for work flow. Parked my welders cart close to it's power source and all the shuffling around to make it work. Still have more to do with that today.
Got the doors open about noon and started cutting and welding bits and pieces. Making progress at least.
Today is more of the same.
I will have to see about walking. Going to be sloppy at best.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

no MUSICAL talent Scott... :giggle:
I love to restore old machinery
this is right sized, big enough to be easy to work with
but not so big it's too heavy for just me to work with.

these pics pop up due to "on this day" function was going to turn off but it's
actually interesting since these pics are buried in directories. So I have pics of all the NC
farm stuff and it just comes back to me in tiny bits each day.
the proverbial trip down memory lane.
particularly when all good memories.
at one point, I did sort of have one of everything...
no wife to say no, I wanted to experience it all.
Too bad I got sick, took a financial beating on all those tools and machinery when
they were sold for pennies on a dollar. When they didn't think I was coming back.
but I took no damage to the wonderful memories and this is where taking pics all my life
helps me remember.

one of my favorite "quirks and features" was that I always tried to put a chrome tip on the
exhaust pipe. Truly a product of a childhood with JC Whitney.
that engine would always run better with a chrome muffler. :giggle:

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 5:00AM. Cloudy with periods of rain. High 53F. S winds shifting to WNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch.

I'd guess 90% of my photos are of disassembled machinery of one sort or another, Drew. Lately Facebook has been randomly showing me old photos, and the memories they bring back are not always pleasant. Much of what I did up north saved me money vs. having someone else do it, but a lot of it should not have been necessary had the manufacturers not cut so many corners. I'm a better weldor and a much better grinder and painter for it, though.

Ran errands yesterday morning, then unloaded the last firewood pallet from the van, swept and mopped the floor, and got a motorcycle loaded. Always a bit dicy walking up a 2x8 with the bike running along side on another ramp, using the clutch to control when and how fast it goes up. I don't think the elevated heart rate from that sort of activity is very healthy. Not as many steps as unpacking boxes, either, but I'll get to the unpacking today.

Happy Hump Day, everyone...

Good Morning! 48˚F heading to 70, N wind, sunny skies. Had 1/4" rain yesterday morning. The NW wind was very strong yesterday sending hundreds of leaves into the pool. The two surface bots were blown to one end of the pool and were stuck. Pool floor bot was overwhelmed as you can tell from the pic below. He was emptied 4 times and has a lot of work to do today also, At the gardens a large tree was blown over and many garden's equipment was blown four gardens down.

got a lot done emptying rv lockers, found stuff of course I was looking for before
as I go through each locker I wipe down the gaskets with 303 protectant.
cleaned out the entire rear pass through, blew out stuff with leaf blower, and put back
about a quarter of it. Rest is going into garage to be used again.

one more locker, it's under slide so to clean it I really need to go run the slide in.
which I will after I sit for ten minutes. Back was starting to talk to me.

rain is working its way across Pennsylvania, will be here in an hour or so

Don, vac did a good job. Just had too much to eat.

Took the ashes out since the ground is wet and don't want to risk a fire

Wife's infusion went well and she was not down on the fumes this time
