Good evening all. 52ºF for the start, cloudy with occasional light drizzle, rain gauge empty but between .1 and .2 inch in wheelbarrow, light breeze. Made coffee to start day, made oatmeal for breakfast. Got R.E. tax check in mail, got wood splitting done, back yard mowed, lunch, bike ride, nap. Cooked pasta for rest of spaghetti sauce for dinner.

Coffee is brewing. 32° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 48° with rain. Did not get to work on camera bird feeder. On the list for later this week. Did do some final measurement on roofing. When weather gets better will start cutting the 12' lengths to 141.5". Lots of prep to done to original roof. No rush original shingle roof is not leaking yet. Looks like a mostly wet day. So will do my weekly house chores.

David, my 40 year old neighbor has volunteered to help with my roofing project. So handling the sheets should not be a bad project for me.

We are going to North Bay today to do the monthly shopping.
Then Boston Pizza for lunch.

Dodge parts used to be cheap back in the 50s through 70s. Not any more. I should look under the hood and see if it is gold plated.

The alternator was good, just the tensioner and belt. Tensioner was $310.oo, belt was only $30.oo the rest was sales tax at 13% and labour. 13% tax is on labour, too.

Parts aren't bad yet in prices down here,but the labor another thing...$123-$140 an hour.

Yesterday was we made a Costco run, got an 11lb pork belly on sale $8 off. That will go into the smoker later this week.

Continuing the cleanup project, I came across rack cases that were full of surplus PA gear, I’ll try and find a home for.

Still going through photos, came across this one of a much younger me.

Got to get moving, I’m off to Sarasota this morning, should be back in time to still accomplish something, but we will see….

it's a warm up day, going up to 58 today in clouds
taking car to local garage early on and they will put a new battery and radiator hose in it.
then rest of day is finishing unloading of rv. Making a real mess of house, piles of stuff until I figure out where to put things,
since a lot of duplicates.
do i really need 20 spoons in the drawer?...
Going to get big totes, designate them rv, and put everything in there in basement until I get a new rv.

Ron, it would be an understatement to say that all of us are worried about you going up on a metal roof. Please be ever so careful.

Bill, idler pulley on Ford V10 was about 135 bucks plus 50 for belt, say 200 parts, 150 labor. Of course getting to it requires someone
who knows what they are doing.

I have to shave this beard off at least once a year so dermatologist can go over me carefully.
already had one melanoma under chin and one on back. Third one would not be good at all.

hmmm, since my rear window defroster power connector fell off again, needs a better solder job, looks like I need
to time a visit to Popgadget's later this week.
I need a solder job and who knows what tupperware of yummy smoked goodies will show up.
