Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #204,002
morning all, 25 going to 36 and sunny.
Wind finally died down after knocking about some more branches.
Rather than do pick up sticks, as it got to 63 yesterday, I worked on closing up the garage.
Didn't want to get hit with flying branches.

Some pain, caulk, new air nail gun, and some sheetrock bits and mostly done.
Need to dry sand, and paint ceiling patch and fix up some alignment on the replaced panel, all waiting for another day.

Trying to figure out if dads hoa and taxes were paid, will need to wait until Tuesday to go through paperwork and make calls. Will see my uncle while I am there, he is forgetting lots, but doing pretty well, he is about to turn 93.

Drew - if you take rt 518 you get to pass by the glass house from the movie Ferris Beuhlers day off back in the woods, but visible.

Sounded like a train coming through yesterday afternoon.

RNG - that would be so amazing if the Neighbor SIL bought it, quick sales are the best. Hoping.

M7040 - I will second the Brother, I have the ink tank version and it has outlasted every HP, Epson and many others. Will also say that laser is better for just gray and Black and white for longevity.

be well, off to pick up the sticks I didn't do yesterday.

Before, though I already had the panel behind the opener up a few weeks ago.

After-still need a little paint and alignment touch up and a few filler pieces of plastic end cap.
Patch was still wet, so left it for another day to do sanding and painting

Ken, looks good!
David, enjoy the seat time. Remind me/us where your trip is to?

decided to get car washed so went to Doylestown and the line wasn't bad.
Then all the way back to NewHope on 202 and at 11am it was still moving.
in another two hours on a sunny Sunday, seems like half the world shows up.
Deposited a couple of checks including payment for car, that sure helps, since I had to pay it off to
get the title.

Bill, you really do need a cab, but that Massey will still be running in a hundred years. Indian built Perkins diesel clone, 55hp 3 cylinder and what
a clatter it made. Sounded great when you gave it some load. I changed the exhaust from vertical to lower horizontal, so I could go in woods
easier. I did pull my disc harrow with it, was quite a load for it but it was one tough tractor.
I pulled that disc with all three larger tractors but never liked doing it with the Kubota. Felt I was going to fry the hydro under load, even in lower range.\
all that whining....while the larger Massey was a powershift and it pulled that disc like nothing was back there. I don't think I ever had to put that in 4wd.
land was flat as a pancake

both the smaller Masseys were sort of bought on a whim, sitting on dealer lots.
one needed full restoration, the 2615 looked like new.
I was a single guy and they were some nice looking girls.
when you have no wife to say no.... ;) :giggle:
have definitely had my tractor fun and better for it

19°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 45° today. Supposed to warm back into the 50s this week.

The mud had started to firm up a bit the last couple of days. There is rain in the forecast for this week. Not looking forward to that.

Scott, that church would occasionally have a German service once in awhile, usually at the request of some of the older members. But, the standard service was always in English. The church my Grandmother attended had both every week. My Mother's side of the family were all German farmers, and many still spoke German when they didn't want the kids or grandkids to know what they were talking about. When they found out I was studying German in high school, some were proud ... but others were disappointed, as they could no longer talk aloud about the "langhaariger junge."

Good morning, gents.

Back in the '50s I would spend most of my fall waxing my toboggan in preparation for winter. It was a 6 footer and some fast!
Winter time you would find me on 'our' sledding hill. Elevation change was about 300' from top to bottom over about 1,000'. Sometimes Mom would put the kibosh on me going out. Usually when the temps got down to -20°F and below. Then I would be in the basement cleaning and waxing the toboggan.
Fun times and zero parents.
We used to sand the rust off the runners on our sleds, then wax them before sledding.

was 20 deg this morning, now up to 35 deg and sunny.
Good worship and good lunch at the italian place.
Made another attempt to clone HD last night, it again failed, but on a different partition than the first time. should be straight forward...

not much planned for today, maybe a nap before teaching tonight.

The MATE3 controller here handles generator start and stop, while the Radian inverter handles switching between grid and AC generator power. I thought you were using the same Outback components, but maybe things have changed?
Nope, you are correct. I have a 2 Mate system that are somewhat independent (basically share the DC side, not AC) and either will autostart the generator hooked to them. My transfer switch is to allow a choice between generators for each Mate. The Radian Mate I can choose between the Kohler propane or MEP diesel. the FX Mate I can select either the MEP diesel or Honda gas. All other functions are via Mate as you would expect.
I don’t have Grid, so no choice there, but can add generator support to the battery power by design.

Good Afternoon Paul,
Scott, that church would occasionally have a German service once in awhile, usually at the request of some of the older members.
Thanks for the explanation! I was curious, we do have one Lutheran church by us in Ct, but im pretty sure the service is in English!

My parents raised both myself and my sister under the Episcopal faith !
It’s a small parish but the parishioners are all friendly !

Too cold here today to do too much of anything! Yesterday I cut out the two patterns for the rocker back spindles, side and front profile. That was about it !

Either this spring or summer, I plan on ripping up the PT decking in front of our family room addition and installing Trex decking ! That will be quite the project!

Hope all have a good afternoon!

My last toboggan run was a bit eventful. Nice hill behind scoutmasters house and a bit icy, very fast. About 2 miles from home. We had to shoot a gap in the stone wall about 1/4 way down. When I got pushed off, someone accidently got me started at an angle. Missed the gap and my right hand smashed into front of toboggan breaking both bones in my wrist. End of my tobogganing that day.

Na ja. Das ist traurig für die älteren Leute.

I mentioned to my BIL who owns a small excavation company that I wanted to rent a backhoe to take out the stumps
in my lawn, and would he operate it?
He came over and said they had a Kubota KX40 with a thumb that could take the stumps apart and his son could come over some weekend to do it.
Free is good! though of course not free, have to put couple hundred bucks in young man's pocket, at least.
Then landlord will send over their landscape helper and possibly after I get a load of dirt from Sparks,
the helper will clean up the mess. Long overdue for three stumps in front yard, and I have a new dwarf rose tree planned to go in the area where the
tree stumps were. Hopefully will look much better, I'm tired of putting flower pots on the stumps.

sunny and nice out but cold, particularly if you get out of the sun.

I spoke with Ted. Situation not positive, he's doing his best as is she. Prayers sent.

Good Afternoon Buppies,
Got up to 43 now on way back down 37 and falling
Well Buppies, you did way better than Vermont temp wise ! It never made it to 20, close but no cigar ! My grandson had a ball sliding down the field in the south side of our property ! That is until he went into the briars at the bottom of the field ! 😉. Couple of scratches on his face but he is Ok ! With the cold temps, the snow was ultra fast ! I took one trip down on the tube and couldn’t get my fat butt out of the tube before it was too late ! It was a rough stop ! 😉😂
