Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 3:00AM. A steady rain in the morning. Showers continuing in the afternoon. High around 50F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.
March came in like a lamb yesterday, with mild temps, calm winds, and blue skies. Gonna make up for it today, though. There's a high wind advisory for a short section of I5 on today's route, but it's always windy there.
I'm up way too early, so I'll try to catch a couple more hours of shuteye before getting up for good. It's supposed to start raining at around 6AM, and I'd like to finish loading the van before that. That would get me on the road in time for an early afternoon arrival, and maybe a nap.
Once I get the folding camping mattress and folding table loaded this morning, the house will be almost completely empty. One kitchen cabinet has some dry goods in it, and a couple drawers have cooking utencils. And a hall closet will have the bedding off the bed, as I'll use a sleeping bag at the campout next weekend in Death Valley.
I had borrowed a saw and level from a neighbor, so returned them at the end of the day yesterday. Also took him a small box of fireworks and about a half pound of FFFG black powder, two things I was nervous about transporting and that he was glad to get.
On the way out his driveway I noticed someone buzz by in a John Deere Gaitor, and it turned out to be my bulldozer buddy's wife. So I pulled in behind her and we caught up. When I told her about getting the house on the market next week, she told me her sister in law is looking for a place in this area, so I ran home and in the fading light shot a bunch of photos of the house that I'll post online tonight. Sure would save the hastle of hiring a realtor and a ton of money, too, if the SIL was interested.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!
