My transfer switch is mostly complete, functional
Details on my build thread. Offgrid Genset Transfer
The MATE3 controller here handles generator start and stop, while the Radian inverter handles switching between grid and AC generator power. I thought you were using the same Outback components, but maybe things have changed?

this tractor video popped up, for you fans of old IH
nothing like hopping up your tractor, back in the day

the more power you had, usually the bigger the implement and the faster you got done.
This guy did not want to be late for dinner.

23 and breezy, going to 44.

Scotty and L4N, I love your snow pix. Sledding was always a big deal here when the boys were kids.

Cut a load of firewood yesterday...seemed a lot harder when the temp was in the 60s than when in the 40s. Then took Della to the battlefield forest for a hike.

Good morning, the low is -12 and going to a high of 18°F. Wind NW 3 mph. Mainly sunny.

Normally we go to the dump on Thursdays, but since we cannot get to the incinerator right now we will be going today. So it is dump and bank in preparation for tomorrows North Bay trip.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 3:00AM. A steady rain in the morning. Showers continuing in the afternoon. High around 50F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.
March came in like a lamb yesterday, with mild temps, calm winds, and blue skies. Gonna make up for it today, though. There's a high wind advisory for a short section of I5 on today's route, but it's always windy there.

I'm up way too early, so I'll try to catch a couple more hours of shuteye before getting up for good. It's supposed to start raining at around 6AM, and I'd like to finish loading the van before that. That would get me on the road in time for an early afternoon arrival, and maybe a nap.

Once I get the folding camping mattress and folding table loaded this morning, the house will be almost completely empty. One kitchen cabinet has some dry goods in it, and a couple drawers have cooking utencils. And a hall closet will have the bedding off the bed, as I'll use a sleeping bag at the campout next weekend in Death Valley.

I had borrowed a saw and level from a neighbor, so returned them at the end of the day yesterday. Also took him a small box of fireworks and about a half pound of FFFG black powder, two things I was nervous about transporting and that he was glad to get.

On the way out his driveway I noticed someone buzz by in a John Deere Gaitor, and it turned out to be my bulldozer buddy's wife. So I pulled in behind her and we caught up. When I told her about getting the house on the market next week, she told me her sister in law is looking for a place in this area, so I ran home and in the fading light shot a bunch of photos of the house that I'll post online tonight. Sure would save the hastle of hiring a realtor and a ton of money, too, if the SIL was interested.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Back in the '50s I would spend most of my fall waxing my toboggan in preparation for winter. It was a 6 footer and some fast!
Winter time you would find me on 'our' sledding hill. Elevation change was about 300' from top to bottom over about 1,000'. Sometimes Mom would put the kibosh on me going out. Usually when the temps got down to -20°F and below. Then I would be in the basement cleaning and waxing the toboggan.
Fun times and zero parents.

Good morning TBN!!
24 this morning. We will be lucky to make it out of the 40s.
Gorgeous day yesterday and I spent it mostly R&R with the dog. Wife went to a birthday party for a 1yo so I passed. One year old don't party like I am used to.
Did manage to putter around the garage a little bit. Decided I need a new axle for torch project. The hubs are about a 1/2" wider then the new rubber wheels and rim need. So that will be the next move probably. Not going to make a special trip for it though.
Not too sure what today will bring. I am sure walking the dog will be involved. And maybe some racing.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good Morning,
Vt, 0 to start going to 16 but the skies are clear bright blue and the sun is up over the mountains! Kids should really fly on the sleds and tubes !

Need to make a dump run today, the transfer station is open from 10 til 2 ! I’m leaning on the later side because the gang isn’t going home until tomorrow morning! Trying to minimize the amount of trash to cart home !

Drew, good luck with the RV sale ! Sounds like you have a handle on it and know what you want price wise !

PJ Paul, interesting story on the pipe organ ! I always enjoyed listening to it in our church ! Now I go to the early service and unfettered is no music at that service! Just curious Paul, do they speak German at your Lutheran church ?

Bill and Billy, I also have some fond memories of sliding on the hills of the local farm in Connecticut! The best sliding was when we had a layer of ice over the snow ! You could really fly on that !

David, sounds like you have been busy with that switching gear !

Buppies, our prayers to you and your wife, hoping things improve somehow for you both ! 🙏

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏
