20F snow starting to fall ending around 5pm upper 20's for high.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...4 hours at part store,depending when the snow ends might start cleaning up or what until tomorrow,might watch some football and numb it.

Took Della hiking to the river. The trail was icy in places, but I was wearing micro-spikes strapped onto my boots. They work so well it makes one want to try dangerous things just to try to make them slip. We had the park all to ourselves for the first few miles, then met up with a nice man on the way back with two black Labs...Moira and Gracie. The three dogs had a great time while we talked. He said his dogs were "sisters" ...born on the same day, but two years apart...same parents. They looked like twins. One Lab is enough for me...two would be like a herd, and he looked as old or older than me.

Good morning, the low is 17 and going to a high of 25°F. Wind E 6 mph. 30% chance of light flurries. Been snowing since 10 last evening, accumulation about 1.5" so far. I don't plow until it hits 4".

The warmer temps aren't for the fuel oil, they are for me that has to stand there either waiting for the whistle to shut up or the gauge to show full. This is the regular auto shut off fuel nozzle you would fuel your car/truck with, not the high flow nozzle you use for fuel delivery.

IF I plow today, it will be later in the day.

Ron, are your blue jays waiting for another pair for cards?

24° now highs around 30° today winds N 5-10.
I see a few flakes starting to fall, calling for 1-3” just enough for people to drive stupid lol.

Only plans for today is a quick clean up (my self not the driveway) and head out to pickup my sister and head to the funeral home. About a 70 mile drive each way, glad it’s a Saturday. Oh well need to get moving.

Ct, 26 to start going to 32 ! Snowing now , maybe 1 1:2” so far, should stop soon so I’m guessing 2” should do it ! Just enough that I need to go out and clean things up when it gets a bit lighter out !

Don, thank goodness for those pumps that kick on to circulate your pool water ! When I close the pool in the fall I drain the water below the returns and blow out the lines, kind of a pain but up here it’s a must !

NHBX, hoping things go well for you today, that’s a pretty long drive !

No big plans for today, other than going to youngest sons home for an early cocktail hour, although we will be watching two of the grands this afternoon while they clean their house up of toys laying all over !

good morning, 21 going to 32 today

an inch or two of snow overnight. Will do some clean up on walks and may even run the small plow up and down the driveway so the sun if it comes out can work on the driveway.

Fire is going strong after cleaning out some ashes.

Not sure what wife has in mind for today and I am flexible.

Set up a grooming appointment for Cody yesterday. His fur grows too long in between appointments. May have to do it more often and it helps to keep the "tumbleweeds' down a bit

22° and light snow, ending soon. High of 35.

Yesterday, I managed to get the oil changed in the tractor and took a couple of 5 gallon pails of used oil to buddy’s shop to keep it warm. Got the trash and recycling collected and down the lane. Stopped at the woodshed with the carryall on the way back for a load of wood. Did some puttering in the shop, didn’t finish passport app or get the welding table drilled, maybe today….
But first I’m making pancakes, and make a couple of passes on the lane. There’s not a lot of snow, but if it gets driven on, it will pack into ice. If I plow it, there will be bare blacktop by this afternoon.

Good morning! 22˚F, cloudless skies, S wind, heading to the 50s. It was not supposed to freeze this morning and this is the coldest morning this year. Good thing I ignored the forecast and prepared. The only thing they have gotten right lately is predicting no rain, of course they could predict no rain every day and get it right 90% of the time.

I could work in the yard today if I don't feel too cold, will see.

Good morning TBN!!

24 here this morning with about 3 inches of snow. High will probably be about 34 like yesterday.
Got the dog out and walked earlier and longer so I could keep him in until there was accumulation. Then sprung it on him. His first snow and he loved it. I walked about a half mile while he probably ran (romped) two. Took him out around dusk on the 4 wheeler so I could do my obligatory donuts and snow ride.
I think I am good for another 3 years now. Bring on spring!
I'll get back out in it today. Maybe knock the drive down a bit so it melts quicker. I did go out yesterday and started the tractor and let it run a while. It started on it's own this time which was surprising in the 20s!
Wife didn't go out yesterday but thinking she will today.
Not much on todays agenda, as usual. Entertain the wife and dog for a while and then shop time for puttering about.

A bit nippy here this morning. Frost on everything. Supposed to warm up into the 50s later with a warming trend next week. I've been playing IT Chief. Expanding my network to hopefully get to the barn and adding new cameras. Too cold to work outside so I've been setting up hardware and getting everything ready.

23 outside right now, heading to lower 30's. More snow, maybe close to 2 inches last night. Had to rescue daughter from driveway as she got stuck coming up to the house last night. It helps if you stay on the path that was cleared over the last few days. This AM I still see her attempt at coming up the driveway. LOL.

Time to tend to the animals, need to get out of the house today and run errands. Maybe later, maybe not.

just strange that you guys way South of me are getting snowed on and we aren't.
Well, 1/2 an inch, not even going to do anything with it as sun is coming out and the dark gravel will melt the snow
quickly. Next week is clear and sunny, but up and down cold and colder
I did shovel the walkway, blew it off with Makita leaf blower and then sprinkled some ice melt everywhere.
I have to take my shoes off every time now, not tracking those chemicals into my house.

my day started really, really poorly.
in putting on my winter coat, end swatted a plant on coffee table and it fell, exploding damp dirt everywhere.
I vacuumed it once, but need to do it again when fully dry.
most visible place in the living room too...if you are going to do it, do it well...

Cleaned up the driveway and areas around the house. Looks to be more like 4 inches last night
Swept the walks as well.
Farm insurance notice said it will change wind and hail coverage to where I am liable for up to 5 % percent of damage. They are using the news to boost cost for farm coverage. Not many choices for farm insurance out there unfortunately
