Good Morning ,
Ct, 22 to start going to 30 ! Clear and cold with a little breeze making it colder !
Work asked me to come in to get a load of oil from the terminal and maybe do a couple of deliveries, which I agreed to ! Really didn’t want any work today but my boss is a good guy and am trying to help out !

After work need to get going on Christmas wrapping!

Drew, I’m with you on the older stereo units, I’m a fan of knobs also ! Glad you had a nice visit with Paul the other day, and I’m sure the steaks were great !

Hope all have a Good Friday! 🙏

this is something for our Texas friends.
The Lubbock announcer said he had never heard of it
nor had I, though I did know the ******** was a kind of Asian peace symbol.
Turns out it's a Native American good luck and harmony symbol and they want it back.

the **** version is tilted, the Native American version and others are flat on top

this should be taught in schools, first Never Forget and second that the symbol was hijacked by bad people.

all you guys have fun in the snow, and pace yourself.
radar says snow overhead but nothing reaching the ground, still dry ground out there, about 31 out now

And Scott I liked the silver stereo equipment with black markings, so you could actually see it.
how many of us have had to get a flashlight out to really see the markings on some black electronics?...
I keep a small flashlight by my desk, helpful sometimes for both computer and stereo

Good Morning all
I really miss independent radios in vehicles, with a dedicated volume knob and change frequency knob. Hate the new touchscreen, head unit based systems. They are not user friendly, and more dangerous to use while driving. I tend to not use the one in my Mazda.
Downstairs geo acting up again. Never had any issues with it until this year. I reset it, but should have waited to see what error code it generated. It’s gone up 2° since I reset it.
Cyber Monday orders start coming in today. Some might not come till after Christmas.

Morning all, 30 going up to 34 and cloudy.
On orders to get a Christmas tree today, and shots for the dog.

Need to help Dad and GF as the money is running out for his in home support , who knows what's going on there, so I have to find out.

Yesterday we had rain, sleet, snow and high winds. Lots of branches down and local main road had 2 big ash trees fall right across it. Luckily they did not hit any cars.
Today is still windy, so lights will wait for tomorrow.

Be well,

29 outside this AM, heading to upper 30's and that is it. Sun is out, no winds yet, no clue as to what the weather will do today. Dry and sunny is fine with me.

Need to go rescue a daughters car this AM. She broke down on the way to work yesterday. Could not help out as I was in the city doing real job stuff. Don't miss that commute or job at all. LOL.

Door painted last night late, for the Milk House. A few touch up spots required. May get it hung by the end of today, who knows. Still need touch ups around the frame walls. Custom kitchen cabinetry needs painting too. No big deals, just time consuming piddly work. Almost done, almost.

Got my steps back in yesterday. This weeks average was 7004 a day. Yesterday helped, hoofing around the city. Streets around work locations are closed for the inauguration event upcoming. So I had to detour quite a lot. Darn buildings have multiple entrances, but security closes them all down, for....security. Anyway, deals are done, work to be done.

Hope all have a good day, a good start to the weekend too. Those ailing, or family feeling not up to speed, get well soon. Be safe.

Good morning! 40˚F, NO SNOW flakes, mostly clear skies light NE wind, heading to the mid 50s. House temp 69 so I'll turned one central heater on for half an hour to get it back to 71˚.

I like the knob also for the radio in the vehicles and the Toyota RAV4 has a volume control knob on the touchscreen. It is not digital you can actually turn it for volume control.
My Ranger has digital screen volume control and a knob below the screen.

Made a trip to Giddings this week to take all the paperwork to the CPA on Mom's estate and to get a haircut. Everything is complete on the estate except to sign the final tax return when he gets it ready.

The Mazda has a separate volume knob down on the console, I want a separate radio display and change channel knobs.

One Amazon delivery by USPS van, more air filters. Hope my system works long enough to use them.
We set our heat up to 69° to take off the chill.
Up to 29° outside. This is an unusual cold spell for this time of year.

Good Morning to all who celebrate! 30 currently with a high of 34, windy and cold. Allegedly some snow showers rolled through, but I didn't see any.

Dad shoved off this morning to go chase deer again, Mom returned with a nasty cold that she's currently nursing.
Otherwise just trying to hang on to the ground from this crazy wind!

Waiting on a package with some ratchet straps and a logging chain, my early birthday present to myself. I'm looking forward to having to use them.
No plans for this weekend but to stay warm and recover from the workweek.

Y'all stay safe out there and be well! Stay warm!

Morning all;

A nippy 20F at 9:30 this morning. The delayed delivery driver was at the bottom of the driveway at 8AM. I was still nursing my first cup of coffee. So out to the Branson got her running down to drop the bucket and grab the forks and down the driveway for the delivery. Had some more James Hardi trim boards delivered was sure wishing my forks were wider then the base 4 ft. those cement boards are 12 ft long and amazingly fragile.
So back up the driveway at 2 mph because of all the frozen clumps of snow, that's a long 1/4 mile. So a couple of breakfast burritos and more coffee and debating about what to do and when, when I finally get of this chair and get moving.

Taking about having to use a flashlight to see dial settings we got a new fancy oven this summer it's an LG with all the knobs and controls on the front face. All the settings on the black touch pad are almost impossible to read unless I have all the kitchen lights on an then bend down close to the panel or use a flash light. It's a nice oven but why in the heck they didn't put a back light on that panel is beyond me, it is a terrible design.

Well almost through with my last cup of coffee and time to get it in gear and go move some snow and ice.

All take care and stay safe

good morning, 30 high FC 34 a few snow furries this morning

Very cold yesterday and windy up to 50 mph. Dressed in double layers to get my walking in with Cody. Cody with his double coat was warm and comfortable and I was miserable and gave up at 7400 steps

D had her going away party and was moved to tears by her team member comments and gifts
New portfolio is in place and busy as ever

Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 6:45AM. Sunny. High 74F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

With all this talk about snow, Don, I had to do a double take when I saw your night time photo. Thought it was snow in Texas!
I keep a small flashlight by my desk, helpful sometimes for both computer and stereo
I have flashlights, and magnifiers, stashed all over the house. I even carry a powerful headband light in my courier bag. Come to think of it, I should get another OptiVisor for that, too. Very fond of flashlights from Coast. Wish they made an illuminated version of the OptiVisor.

Got a call by new friend here that we could do his son's moving job yesterday if I was available. He'd helped with some of my larger items, so it was pay back time. He'd planned to use the flat dump bed on his F250, raising the bed all the way, strapping the big piece on, then lifting it up by lowering the bed. Didn't work because the bed wouldn't go vertical, and not enough of the big piece was on the bed. Ended up with a drop gate U-Haul trailer and winching the thing up supported by my Roll-A-Lifts. All that horsing around took most of the day, but it included a very tasty grilled chicken burrito, his treat.

TGIF gang!

I got back in from plowing at 9:30. Everybody is done and some extra cleanup here as well. Pumped 4 gallons of fuel into it.
More snow on the way. Too early to tell how much.

Drew, when I was working I regularly went past ********, ON. It is west of Hwy 11 south of Kenogami and west of Kirkland Lake, ON. The story goes that some citidiot came up there and tried to get the town to change the name, they refused and sent him packing...Right back down to the city he came from.

made an estimated tax payment for sale of VA property. Hope that will keep me out of any penalties. They make it so complicated.
seem to have fixed the lazyboy footrest catching in the partly upright position, by filing down rough area on the latching mechanism.

wife want's me to start painting in bathroom, I'm not too energetic to get started.

29 deg out, few snow flakes here and there. the basement geo unit has gone up 5 deg since I reset it, but still 3 deg to go. Upstairs is at its set point.

Kubota dealer wants to know when to pick up the L5030 in ohio, so I'll have to go and get the loader off, mower off, tool box cleaned out. My brother might get it first, but i need to go see dad anyways. His phone line still laying in the back yard, they were supposed to fix it last night but didn't.

65°F and no rain.

Got the rest of the interior areas mowed yesterday

Guys got trounced at H&F

Today will be mostly prepping for tomorrow. Am hosting Christmas gathering of the retired military group. Could likely be the last Christmas gathering due to members aging out and lack of new blood.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

slowly warming up after getting mighty chilled this morning.
main culprit was waiting outside at TSC for guy to come fill propane tank and enduring a very cold wind
for ten minutes. Doing a favor for friend. First I took her an extra 30 pounder I had, then I picked her old spare, which
I likely gave her, which was empty, and got that filled for her. The tank had gotten knocked over and the gas leaked out.
pretty hard to do...but now all her tanks are sitting on those plastic bottoms. Keeps them off ground and more stable.

drove back down to Hatfield to the mobile home park and checked everything inside rv for beeping.
It seemed fainter now. No lights on the permanently mounted CO2 detector but it was behind slide and I really couldn't see it.
But all was answered when I stepped outside.
BEEP
rv next to me...sigh. :cautious:

Well, at least the mystery is answered and it did not cost a fortune to fix!

Good Afternoon,
Fun to drive her nuts changing stations when driving and not reach over to any controls on the dash doing it!
Mike, funny you should mention that, when I’m driving my wife’s Honda CRV there are radio controls on the left side of the steering wheel. If I’m not careful I hit them with my hand and change her station ! 😂
Had some more James Hardi trim boards delivered was sure wishing my forks were wider then the base 4 ft. those cement boards are 12 ft long and amazingly fragile.
Lou, when I installed the James Hardie siding on the front side of the barn, I had Curtis Lumber out of Granville deliver it. They came out with a flatbed and we had to hand carry it into the barn 2 or 3 pieces at a time, yep it’s very fragile until nailed up to the building!

Enjoyed a little nap after lunch, until wife woke me wanting me to paint...
So I reluctantly primed then painted the bathroom ceiling. I'm sure she wants walls done next....
Got several amazon orders delivered on the porch, one was missing that was marked delivered. Watched camera, and one had blown into the bushes. They put a light one on top of the heavier ones. But that mystery is solved.
Did you all see the youtube video about a UPS driver stealing an apple watch. Guys home cameras caught him walking up towards house, duck behind bushes, stuff something in his pocket and threw the packaging in the neighbors trash can, then goes back to his UPS truck. UPS guy had marked it delivered.

got up to 34 deg today, and both geo units caught up to set temp.
