Gee M7040, I worked in war zones and only lost one friend in 3.5 years.

The carb version I have will usually start within 6 pulls, but that's about 4 pulls too many. That starter rope puts up way more of a fight than my shoulder can take.

How many sprockets have you gone through on your Makita chainsaw? By now I've replaced five of 'em.

It has a compression release, so it’s not too hard on the shoulder for those initial pulls.
I think that I’m on my third sprocket on the Makita, I’ve learned to always have a couple on the shelf.

66°F and water was falling out of the sky this morning! It was light and only lasted for a couple of hours, but we'll take it. Will cool down the rest of the day to the low 40s overnight.

The dope that junior forgot to pick up yesterday will get picked up on the 4th when we go to the big smoke for the monthly shopping trip.
Our 60% chance of rain became 100%, it is pissing down now.

50 high 79 breezy today maybe shower tomorrow probably not.

Wife to eye doctor yesterday both eyes leaking have to have injections mid November shots in eyes sounds terrible. Had dinner at River and Rail got done she got very agitated got home jumped out of truck and fell hurt shoulder arm knees rescue squad came helped her up refused any more help. She is sleeping now.

D lost two friends while on trip. One to heart attack and one in car crash.

That's about what convinced me to retire. I worked in a small Army Lab, there were only ~300 employees. We had 4 pass on in 1 year. All 4 were about my age and near retirement (~60). Heart attacks took two, cycling accident, and leukemia . The leukemia really changed my mind because I had worked side by side with the guy for a decade, traveled to Korea, Hawaii, and Germany with him many times and he passed within ~ 6 months of discovering it. He was fine playing volleyball every lunch hour for years, then 6 months later underground.
Hope she weathers it fine.

We did get some wind at times, and the leaves would fly.
Got grapple on tractor and took out bushes on the hill. Junk stuff and multiflora roses. First bite was a big one.

Can now see thru the area.
Also pulled a couple old posts, and cleaned up more on other side of the hill.
