need to ask our resident expert PJS,
what kind of organ pipes are they?
I was surprised to see an organ in this church
Might be an A M Moller pipe organ. Located in Hagerstown MD they made 1000's starting around 1875

91 degrees in Giddings Texas
just polished off the last of Don's lasagna and then
topped that off with piece of home made apple pie
made by Kyle's wife and brought to me by Kyle.
I get pie and a fixed septic system, such a deal.

and what pie, lots of cinnamon which I love, and the crust, the
crust one could write sonnets about.
Kyle please tell your wife she makes the best pie crust in Lee County
of course it's the first pie crust in Lee County I've had but I'm certain
it must be the best ;)
Lee County Peanuts. Are they still there?

My new office. I e-mailed the owners that I was released from the DR. to go back to work and about 30 minutes before I e-mailed Their Fall tractor driver had to go to Florida for his dying mother and they really needed me Sunday. I told them I would be there in an hour to orient myself with the tractor and their new procedures again since it has been two years. By the time I got home the Saturday tractor driver could also not work so I start a 9 hour shift tomorrow. I practiced going on and off the tractor with ny new shoulder and all is well.

Drew before you leave Texas you need to try some Homemade Vanilla Blue Bell Ice Cream. Brookshire Bros. will have it, a must with apple pie and made locally in Brenham, not too far from Giddings. They give free samples at the factory.

Good question. I know the mill is not running anymore. They may still sell some at the weigh in barn.

Don, that's a lot of tractor driving. Those big tall tires keep you up high I'll bet. Easy on the clutch as you take off.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.6C and it's presently 18.2C, clear with a gentle breeze.

Fortunately it was clear last evening and I was able to see the Aurora Australis... mostly shimmering white 'sheets' and spectacular 'beams'.

Yesterday's Launie trip was very successful. Good trip, there & back. Everything on my 'mental list' was found and only a couple of extra things that I didn't know that I needed. Seems that there was a 'sale' on everywhere I went. I got home by 1715.

Today will be spent washing new towels and a couple pairs of trackie-daks.

That's about it, take care all.

Trip to the farm went well. many stops on the way, Kubota to get more SUDT for the farm tractor (gotta get that fixed), then stopped by to look at land in WV, then down past Uniontown to get lunch and a homemade pie at a favorite place. Brought home a hot cherry pie just out of the oven. Stopped at Menards to look at ACX plywood. How do you think that would work for cellar door if painted? It is external grade. Marine Grade is twice the price. Unfortunately need 2 pieces, as the opening is 4'2" wide... Didn't buy it.
Almost forgot to get gas, was very low.
My brother was already here and had started cleaning the porch, but we removed the old block steps and installed my new steps. Went pretty smooth, except dad came out once and yelled at us to put the steps back. lol....
Then we tore out the rotting handicap ramp we had used for my mom. We plan to rebuild it with PT wood, another time. It has holes in it where the wood rotted thru, and dad walked down it the other day... it had to go..
Will add pics from my phone in a minute.

all this talk about Blue Bell ice cream and apple pie, and
frustrating the scale was not kind this morning. Same weight as last week, I have
plateaued at 13 pounds off. Just having too much fun in Texas. All good in my mind.

I'm hoping I can get to Reba's downtown for ice cream with Kyle's kids, if that works, otherwise we might drive to Brenham for a free sample

Don, glad you're back in the saddle. Those tires don't look like they give you a cushey ride. Of course R4's on my Kubota were unforgiving too.
hope you have a decent seat on that tractor if you're on it all day.

going to start off my day washing the rv when the sun comes up.
and thinking of a piece of apple pie with blue bell vanilla on it
no wonder I can't lose weight, my dreams are fattening...

Good morning! 61˚F heading to the mid 90s. clear skies S wind.

This will be a hot and long first day back at work at the "Adventure Farm". I have printed out the shows so I can tell the tractor wagon ridders when they are preforming. The shows are zoofari - with different exotic animals, Falconry, The fire show and the fireworks right before closing.

The cooler air (80s instead of 90s) will not be here till Tuesday.

Good Morning
55° and clear, high of 75 today.

Yesterday was a day of punchlist stuff, a lot of small tasks. Connect downspout to buried piping, terminate AV wiring onto jack plates, install light over vanity, keep moving sprinklers around, pick up hardware to mount toilet, install speakers in bedroom ceiling, etc.

Won’t get a lot done today, have to go play with the band outdoors at a pumpkin farm. Be interesting to see what the audience is like. I left the KubVan loaded up from last week’s winery gig, so the load up was effortless. Just have unload it, load it and unload it one more time today. I tell people that we play for free, but you have to pay us to move equipment.

I am under the impression that they are providing generator power, I’m bringing a Honda inverter generator in case I don’t like the power quality of what’s provided.

Gotta get moving, I want to move the toilet into the old folks home, hopefully install it after the gig today, or tomorrow. Might hang TV’s tomorrow.

Good morning! 48 and gorgeous this morning and supposed to get to 75.
Hopefully going to get back on the tractor to gather more rock for the bridge repair.
Spent the better part of two days in bed in pain from what I suspect was just gas but it was pretty rough.
I gotta get my air compressor fixed, Regulator busted and the parts have been laying on the bench for a week. Incentive as I need to lube the tractor. I know there are other ways (hand) But I like my Lincoln grease gone with lock-n-lube, Makes it much quicker and easier.
time to finish my coffee and walk the dog. He's been confused with me down :)
And away we go.

/ Good morning!!!! #197,860
Good morning, the low is 35 and going to a high of 52°F. Wind W 5 mph. Sunny!

I think at about noon I will start to put the wood in. It shouldn't take much more than two hours from start to all done, with conveyor back in storage place.

The cold water feed for the bathroom and toilet runs right above the window I chuck the wood through. THAT is the main reason I prefer to put the wood in when the temperature is above freezing.

I will call on Tuesday (Monday is Thanksgiving) for an appointment, hopefully in November.

I have seen the northern lights about 40 years ago, haven't looked for them since. Tonight might be a good night for them. If I see them I will try to get some pictures of them to post.

I just weighed myself this morning 229 lbs. I haven't been that light in 30 years. This is a good thing. Only 29 pounds to go.

Have a safe day all
