The concentrated anti-freeze came today. That is what I mean about the garage I deal with. They all know that I don't have a drivers License right now and they offered to deliver it. They will also be picking up the Dodge and swapping the summer tires for the snows and deliver it back to me. What ever they charge I just shut up and pay. The anti-freeze cost me $32.oo for a gallon.

Good evening all. 69ºF for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light wind, sky cleared, and high temp was 93ºF, HI 100ºF. made coffee and oatmeal on stove , Men's Meeting, bike ride, clean mower bottom, mowed front yard and pulled sandburrs. Trip to town for late lunch and groceries. Got a nap then dinner, no group tonight.
Ron glad yesterday went well. Hope sister had a safe trip.

Mike sorry about phone dieing. I don't change phone to keep up, have to watch form factor so I can carry phone when and where needed. I don't use boat as much as I expected, just like your pool.

Coffee is done brewing. 53° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82 with cloudy skies. Trip to airport and back went good. Sister flights went as scheduled. Shes is back at her place in Green Valley, AZ. Was a good visit. After a short nap I got tools out and installed new battery cables in neighbors golf cart. It is running as it should. Rest of the day was spend enjoying the great weather for this time of year. Grocery shopping this morning. Then find something to do rest of the day.

Checked the camera at our CA ranch and found a buck mowing the lawn this morning ...

Solid rain overnight. Slept through most of it as the entire household went to bed early. Wife was not feeling well yesterday-- we'll see how she is doing later this morning.

Morning all!
58 going to 80 today. Cooling down and only in the middle 60's for the rest of the week.
Coffee with all the sisters and husbands yesterday. Had a great time!
After that we went to the apartment and finished all the final wall hangings. I hope!
Managed to get the head gasket changed on the small rider and it runs great again. Finished the back yard to check it out. Already have a bunch of leaves on the ground!
Possible window cleaning today after our walk. Insides are all done. We have 3 that don't tilt in and have to be done outside with a ladder.
One large platter [12 inch]as a gift and a small box continuing my chess set influence inspired work. Will play in the shop later.

67 going to 79. More drizzle and maybe rain, like yesterday. Overall, we gratefully received almost 2 inches of rain from this storm, so far.

Ron, glad you had a good visit from your sister. They are special people.

Thomas, I'm looking forward to some snow this winter...for me as well as for Della.

Yesterday was an inside day, except when walking Della around...so roasted a couple of exotic coffees I'd been saving. I ran out of the daily drinking coffee green coffee, so placed 2 orders with 2 different vendors...each has so many origins to choose from, so it takes a while to read and choose.

Wife arrived home from my mom's at dinner time and surprised me with a pizza she picked up on the way. Was a nice treat.

We thought my mom was ready to move to the nice assisted-living community where she stayed for rehab last month. But now that she's home, she's having second thoughts. The PT and occupational therapists are amazed at her abilities for being 93 and recovering from congestive heart failure...they say she was advanced beyond where they would end their service before they even started. My wife thinks the stress of moving and downsizing may be worse than living alone in her 2 story condo...I agree, but she'd have good folks to play bridge with and meals provided. She wants me to take her there for a tour. My sister had that scheduled for 3 days ago, but it didn't work out. We'll try again and she'll make her own decision. I see advantages and disadvantages either way.

Good morning, the low is 54 and going to a high of 81°F. Foggy. Wind calm.

I will finish off the anti-freeze fiasco today and hopefully it will get to -40 below. I really don't want to dump it again, but if it comes to that I will.

wngsprd, between the stress of moving, downsizing and the thoughts of not seeing family as often may be one of the deciding factors that she doesn't want to move.

Time to feed the cats and get on with my day.

up way too early, 4am here, back started hurting and had to get out of bed.
going to take long hot shower and see if it will relax.

headed off this morning for a covid and flu shot, then will take ferry from Sausalito into San Francisco and walk a few blocks to my sister's high rise apartment. Hope the fog cooperates or won't get good pics.
Lot of fog here...you see this big wall of opaque silver fluff coming over the tops of the hills, and it's so wet you have to put your car wipers on.

RNG, have my twin 50 amp outlets ready? Hope it's not too hot there, my a/c will not run on 15 amps happily, 30 makes it happy, oh 50 makes it quiver in happiness....

actually have a question on using my 50 amp adapter on a 30 amp cord.
just how much juice can I pull? more than 30 amps? if breaker on pole is 50, then only breaker applying would be rv panel breakers.
with a new transfer switch put in, will be safe again to pull full load.
with wire nuts still on those wires, been very hesitant to recreate my toaster.

Good Morning
58° with a forecast of 81 and clear skies.
This weather has been great for construction and getting trucks around back, but the rock hard dry ground is not great for growing grass.

Appliances didn’t arrive yesterday, they said they were scheduled for today. That works better any way the kitchen isn’t quite done, so today will be a better day. I ran the water lines and put the shut offs for the sink and dishwasher in the new base cabinet, also installed the outlet in the cabinet above the range for the microwave. Installed the shutoffs for the sink in the bathroom vanity as well.

The masons are finally packed up and gone, the hearthstone was their last task

I’ve got a Dr appointment at 9:30 this morning for a checkup, then back to cleaning up loose ends until the FAA comes at 1 to do a records review. Then after that, back into construction mode.

Good Morning! A warm 77˚F before sunrise heading to the upper 90s. No chance of rain.

Today is three weeks since surgery and my first first Sling Free day, and I am so ready to toss the sling.
Shoulder feels a tad tight after a vigorous PT session yesterday, but I do not feel the need for Advil, which I did take every day with the old shoulder. It is still hard to believe that that huge screw is in my shoulder but it is, and it is doing a good job. Over the next three weeks I will be trying to increase my range of motion which is still limited.

The next DR appointment is the morning of the day Drew arrives and hopefully I can be released from all restrictions after testing my limits, the next big milestone day that I can hopefully celebrate with Drew.

The drapes and the round rug came in for the hearth room and wife is happy with the new look. The thick wood mantel above the stone fireplace looks like Popgadget's.

The Dole bananas at the grocery store are from Honduras.

Costco today, I will get my hearing aids cleaned while shopping.

Wngsprd, The older one gets the harder the move. My mom did not even want to consider moving. A lot of people around here have estate sales to downsize when they move to assisted living.

I am a firm believer that IF you have a tree within 50' of the power lines that is over the height of the lines it should come down. A lot of people around me don't agree with that thinking, but they are the first ones to b*tch when the power goes out.
