Good morning!!!!

Good morning! Low of 57°, going up to 84°. Hazy sun today, due to wildfire smoke coming from Cali.
Still good chances for rain starting tomorrow afternoon.

A little breezy too.... didn't see wind in the forecast. That's probably why the smoke haze is here...
The tree spraying will be delayed until the wind stops. Might have to be tomorrow morning.

Bill, sounds like you lined up a good bit of projects to do..... slow and steady....
If you hook up the lights first, then you can continue after dark!:unsure::ROFLMAO:

Drew, things have really dried out, here in the west. Pockets of green are true oasis. We only got to enjoy our green "grass" (out in the field) for a few weeks. Only has a tint of green now.

Ken, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! to you and the Mrs. Going to do anything special?

Dog food is underway for an hour already. Will be all set for another 6 weeks in a couple of hours. What we don't do for our trusted companions....
And --- if the apocalypse comes-- we have a small supply of food. (The food, not Max)

First sink full has to be washed..... and grinder set up....

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 7:45AM. Sunny. High 93F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Beautiful teapot, Phil. Have you thought about selling some of your work out of a local craft boutique? An ad on Facebook Marketplace or Craig's List for those hardwood grab bags would get swamped at $10/bag I'd guess.
The Gold Ranch casino rv campground in Verdi.
There's a Cabela's in Verdi, too, Drew, and that may be the the campground that's part of their complex. That Cabela's is worth a look inside for the various displays. Last time I was there, they had a trout pond/aquarium if you wanna fish. Might have one of those less-than-lethal pistol things you were talking about earlier, too. Stop in Reno for your last cheap gas fillup for a while, too. If you'd like a nice bottle of wine for your sister, there's a Total Wine and More store in Reno. Every kind of booze you can imagine, and the staff is pretty well equipped to make recommendations. It's a giant place, like a Costco or Sam's.

Spent yesterday afternoon finishing the 4-way switches on the south side of the house, only to run into a set of 3-way switches on the north side. Eventually got all the wires traced, and will finish that today. There's a set of 3-way switches in the hall of the place down south that isn''t working, and I'll feel much better tackling that repair after this experience.

Also got through to the allergist down south, but the person that answered the phone wasn't the regular receptionist. She was very helpful, though, and got me set up in their computer to pave the way when the allergist nurse up here calls to set up the records and antigen transfer.

Lord help me, last night I found the All In The Family episodes streaming on Amazon Prime. Just as funny now as back in the '70s, but today's viewers would be up in arms about all the racial/conservative jokes.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Good Afternoon,
Well the 6 degree cut on the back legs has worked , at least on the first right leg ! I made up a 6 degree taper jig and actually managed to get the blade on my Delta Unisaw up to the 3” mark ! I didn’t think it would go that high but I preserved! 😉

I will try and get the other 3 legs done and do some chores around here ! Hope everyone has a good afternoon! 🙏

Happy Anniversary, Ken.

My chimney was cleaned last Sunday. All good there. The woodstove in the kitchen didn't get used last winter (too mild) so that is good from the cleaning the year before. The wood in the basement is left over from last winter, I will burn that first this year and the stuff in the driveway will get burned this winter. The oil (200 gal.) tank is 5/8 full with a $1900.oo credit with that supplier, so good for this winter and the 500 gal. tank will get filled in November from the new supplier. I will get 400 gallons put in that one. Approx. 80% that way with the summer heat it wont expand and puke out. The very last fillup of the small tank will be from the 500.

There is nothing 'wrong' with All in the Family. Especially when Archie and Sammy Davis Jr. were together.
By the way, I like Blazing Saddles, too. Have it on DVD.

There is nothing like telling a retiree where the Mustang Ranch is. Are there any operating cat houses anymore?

The last I knew it was legal in Nevada on a county by county basis, It has been quite awhile since I last availed myself of their services, over 30 years.

81F and sunny @ 13:30, calling for a high of 85F ... so another warm one.

Refilled hopper feeder plus scattered some seed for the ground feeders yesterday.

Got several more clumps of hosta dug out in front of the garage and divided up. Think there were around 14 or so divisions ...

IMG_3427 copy.jpg

Took those around back to the southwest corner of the house and started planting them. Think I got around 8 in the ground. It's high ground and under a maple tree so very well-drained. Ground was very hard so slow going.

IMG_3428 copy.jpg

Collected up the stink juice sprayer from over by the northeast corner and sprayed the stuff I got planted and the stuff I didn't.

Had to refill the Water Buffalo.

Other area I planted on Thursday:

Meds doled out for the coming week, Woman dosed with Her antibiotic drops.

Likely try and get the rest of the hosta starts planted.

Then maybe mulching on the agenda for the rest of the day.

Plus whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday ... (y)
