Good Morning Everyone!!!!!
A clear 42ºF for today’s low temperature; 66ºF presently; and I anticipate a slightly warmer hazy sunny daytime high. Brogen is still at the doggie gulag. He’s there till Thursday. We are hooking up with friends at the Red Lion Inn in Lenox, MA
Home - The Red Lion Inn for great eats and understandable surrounding culture Thursday. I am waiting for this AM’s (heavy) dew to evaporate so I can mow the “lawn.” Slowly drifting totally alone down some ADK stream/lake surrounded by nothing but untouched, never to be touched forest wilderness with only a compass and topo map (when I remember) is a special experience, not that much different from those paddlers’s in the past. There are the occasional mutual “surprise” reactions when one unexpectedly meets a forest/swamp creature.

Rick, thanks for sharing that powerful video.
BEF & Randy, I hope you both continue to build strength, endurance, and ROM; and BEF, the neuropathy finally is extinguished. My diet, activities, and mindset does affect my neuropathy.
I want to thank you all for the pictures posted and sharing your experiences.
Randy, It’s great to read that you made plans for a Bermudan cruise. Good luck with the weight loss.
Paul- I hope you and your Wife can remain drama-free. Life is too short for this kind of nonsense. There is no easy nor graceful way to get in or out of a sit-in kayak. :embarrassed:

We are both happy that we can still do it and laugh at ourselves.
Hawkeye, I am sorry to read that your Daughter is still challenged from her sustained injuries. I hope and pray the rehabilitative efforts finally relieve her challenges. It’s great to read that she still has a + attitude.
Thomas- Winter is always on my mind. It felt like Fall in the ADK and here this AM. I have +3.5 cords stacked from last year; some of the stacked wood is +4 years old. My biggest concern is the state of the woodpile itself; it’s starting to lean

There has been woodchuck activity under the cinderblocks supporting the 2”X10” boards. I'm jinxing myself by posting that I have never had a serious "wood fall".
DABSGT- Good luck with the truck search and dog transport. My 2008 Tundra has seen better days; I hope it hangs on until compact trucks are available. After +16 “man-hours” of detailing the truck it still smelled of Saint Bernard and there were still hardened drool stalactites and stalagmites. …… I think that the truck is now drool glue free; but still smells like dog.
Drew- I hope that the little one makes it and can be returned to the woods.
Betty & Ron, My continued + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.
My + thoughts and prayers.
