Gotta love great neighbors. Got a text from one of mine, saw my stuck tractor and tow strap on way up the road to tend his cattle. He and daughter eased me out with her F350 flatbed.

Good evening all. 72ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. Light wind, sky became mostly cloudy, and high temp was 95ºF, HI 100ºF. Humidity was higher today, and forecast to stay up through early next week. 6 days of rain and 1 inch total accumulation also in the forecast. Made coffee to start day, then off to Grief share, Bike ride, then productivity fell off. Trying to work through some things said at Grief Share. Did get nap in.

at 1pm power goes off.
shorepower lights on
no juice inside, checked all fuses
started gen, works fine
shore power will not come back on
guess I've got a bad transfer switch?
contacted local rv service, maybe i'll get lucky and he can come out this
morning.
If I have to keep going on generator power I will til I get this fixed.
fuse ok, gfci ok, ??
I wish I was an electrician...

as I'm having a very early breakfast I pondered my situation and glad I have a gas absorption fridge that will run on propane and my little freezer runs off dash 12v. and that my gen works fine.
only thing that didn't turn on while on gen is the propane hot water heater.
It has a reset I'm going to push but likely irrelevant.

back of transfer switch seems warm, but not hot.

very glad I have that softstart now on a/c. I can hear the difference.

I'm guessing a bad transfer switch but I guess it could be bad inlet, but no smell or issues with cord end. Everything looks fine.
maybe I can get back to sleep.

Been up since 3:30am.
Don't know why, just can't sleep.
Plenty of house keeping to do but I for whatever reason can't/won't do it while it's dark outside.
It only dropped to 74 overnight so the AC has been coming on, not too often but...
Rotten air quality outside so probably won't be doing much outside today.
Loader tractor picked up a thorn somewhere so gotta get a patch on the tube.
Picked up some firewood yesterday. There's an industrial park aboot a mile away where they mill wood for stairs and trim.
They charge $10 for a large barrel of "ends". Smaller pieces make great kindling and the larger ones for general fires. All Oak, maple and ash.
Beauty is it's all clean, dry and no bark. Bring it in the house with no worries of bugs etc.
If I get the tire fixed I'll pick up another bucket full. Large 72" bucket brimming over full for $10 and the only work is stacking it.
Not 6 yet so a bit early for brekky. I know I'll crash around 11:00 am.
Oh well. It's not like I gotta go to a job or something.
Local station shows Blue Bloods all day today so maybe that'll put me to sleep in the recliner?

73 outside right now, heading to 100 today. Humidity is back.

Plumber should show up this AM for final Milk House hookups. Got into that buildings attic last night, nice and clean still, no rodents, and fished the hot water tank power line through the wall. Thank goodness that was easy. One hole drilled in the right spot and down it went. Hoping to have a fully functioning building by the end of today.

Did not get to grasses yesterday, sigh...maybe today?

Got tracked down by an old coworker, irons in the fire. Met for lunch. It's a small world in my line of work. That was good news and at least the options are coming in. I'll put worry aside for a while on a real job. Change is the only constant.

Been without a refrigerator in the farm house (main house) now for a few weeks, new one still a week or two away. Surviving on beer and bread and fast food. LOL. The beer is good. The fast food, sucks.

Took Della for a nice hike to a small creek to splash in and then took my wife to Torchy's...I had "earned" a free meal and had to grab it by end of month. Then to REI where their sale is on. We had a pair of like new trail runners, and just didn't fit right...they will buy back slightly used stuff to resell in their Re/
Supply...that earned enough to buy a couple of small items.

Good morning, the low temperature is 50 and going to a high of 64°F. Wind N 6 mph. 60% chance of showers. According to the radar, the 60% chance of showers will become 100% by about 11 A.M.

I'm not planning on doing anything outside today.
I haven't had a rear work light on the tractor in the past 12 years, so I think I can survive another week or so.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Had short scuffle last evening,different bear show up for the first time and try pushing Boo from his area taking his blanket,Boo was little undersize but his strong spirit sent other bear on fast trot down the driveway.

Plans for today...soon take trimmer couple hours walk,dump run,stop for some goodies.

Good Morning
72° 83% RH this morning, high in the middle 90’s with high humidity and chance of thunderstorms.

Yesterday was a busy day in the old folks home, a carefully choreographed ballet between painters, tile contractor and trim carpenter.
We laid out samples of the ceramic tile and hardwood flooring so my wife could figure what she wanted to deal with the hearth and patio doors, there will tile in front of the doors and wood in front of the hearth, and now there is a plan for how it all comes together.

Good news is that the AC works well in there, taking out a lout of moisture from everything drying. I’ve been catching the condensate in a 5 gallon bucket out of curiosity, it takes less than a day to fill it.

Today, everyone will be back, and the masons will be added to the fray.

Looks like I’ve got to go to New Haven CT tomorrow and Portland, ME on Friday, so I’ll miss some activity.
